  1. The King's Signet

  3.     You have found the King's Signet Ring of The Ancients.  This beautifully
  4. crafted ring was worn by the reigning King of The Ancients to signify his
  5. position.  The location of this ring has remained a mystery since the great
  6. battle at Rutheledge.  There have been rumors of it's discovery throughout
  7. history, but never any concrete evidence.  According to legend, to keep the
  8. ring from falling into the hands of the evil necromancer Jarhl, King Roland
  9. III attached it to a hunting falcon and set the bird free.
  10.     The stone in the ring is a rare black ruby.  It is said to be from the
  11. same source as the lost ward stones of Rutheledge.  The stories claim the
  12. ring has many powers, but you have never heard any specific power
  13. mentioned.  Perhaps the stories have been embellished over the years to
  14. keep the telling interesting.  Regardless, this relic of The Ancients is
  15. priceless.
