Contact Scheduler v. 4.15 - Field Explanation
This section will generally explain the fields in CS4 and their
intended use and their possible uses.
Group Name: Allows you to attach this record to a group of related
related records. Press F2 to display a pop-up group
selection menu. Use the cursor keys position the
selection cursor and the 'Enter' key to select the
group name.
Match Group: This field displays the group that is currently
selected for matching. Only records with this group
name will be displayed. You may click on this field
to display the Match Group selection menu. The default
for this field is 'ALL' which displays all records
regardless of the group they are attached to.
Tag: Click on this field to tag or untag a record. A checkmark
will appear if the record is tagged. The field will be
blank if the record is not tagged.
Company Name: Enter the company name if any in this field. A person's
name can be used here if a company name is not
appropriate.
Address 1: Line 1 of 2 for the address.
Address 2: Line 2 of 2 of the address. Helpful with international
addresses.
City: Enter the name of the city here.
State/Province: Enter the U.S. state abbreviation/name or the province
name in this field.
Zip/Postl Code: Free form alpha-numeric field for U.S. and international
zip/postal codes.
Country: Enter the country name here if applicable.
Address 3: Line 1 of 2 for a 'remit to' or 'alternate' address.
Address 4: Line 2 of 2 for a 'remit to' or 'alternate' address.
City: Enter the alternate city name here.
Zip/Postl Code: Free form alpha-numeric field for alternate U.S. and
international zip/postal codes.
Country: Enter an alternate country name here.
Contact 1 Name: Enter the name of your primary contact.
Contact 2 Name: Enter the name of your secondary contact.
Contact 3 Name: Enter the name of your tertiary contact.
Contact 1 Titl: Enter the Title of your primary contact. This is a
good place to enter a phone extension if any.
Contact 2 Titl: Enter the Title of your secondary contact. This is a
good place to enter a phone extension if any.
Contact 3 Titl: Enter the Title of your terciary contact. This is a
good place to enter a phone extension if any.
Main Phone: Enter the main phone number for this company or person.
Contact 1 Phon: Enter the phone number for your primary contact.
Contact 2 Phon: Enter the phone number for your secondary contact.
Contact 3 Phon: Enter the phone number for your terciary contact.
Other Phone 1: Enter an alternate phone number here.
Other Phone 2: Enter an alternate phone number here.
Other Phone 3: Enter an alternate phone number here.
Fax Number 1: Enter a fax number here.
Fax Number 2: Enter a fax number here.
Fax Number 3: Enter a fax number here.
NOTE: All phone number fields are free form fields that allow you
to enter U.S. and international phone numbers. If you wish to
use the autodialer, you must enter the number exactly as you
want it dialed. A comma sends a pause to the modem.
Examples:
To dial a 9 for an outside line
9,5551212 or 9,555 1212 or 9,555-1212
Inter-lata call
15551212 or 1 555 1212 or 1-555-1212
Outside line and inter-lata
9,15551212 or 9,1 555 1212 or 9,1-555-1212
Long Distance
16105551212 or 1 610 555 1212 or 1-610-555-1212
International Call
01144785551212 or 011 44 78 555 1212 or 011-44-78-555-1212
Well, you get the idea. If you don't plan on using the
autodialer then you can enter phone numbers any way you like.
Ex. (610) 555-1212 x4278
Last Edit Date: This field is automatically updated when a new record
is added or when a record, comment or topic is
updated. This field is used to generate the Activity
Report.
Follw-Up Date: This field is used by the user to enter a follow-up date
for the next client contact. You can use the calendar
feature to enter a date here or enter it manually. This
field is used to generate the follow-up report.
