  9. THE SHAREWARE CONCEPT

  11.   Shareware is licensed commercial software which the authors make available
  12.   on a try-before-you-buy basis.  Users may evaluate a Shareware product for a
  13.   period usually between 30 and 90 days, by the end of which they must either
  14.   pay for the product (known as Registration) or stop using it.

  16.   Copying of Shareware, subject to the above conditions, is not only allowed,
  17.   it is encouraged.  Pass copies on to interested friends and colleagues.
  18.   Shareware authors rely on the integrity of users to abide by the conditions
  19.   of the license, and register the product if they want to continue using it.
  20.   Many, like ARK ANGLES, also give added benefits to users who register.

  23. ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

  25.   This program is Shareware, and may be freely copied and distributed subject
  26.   to the terms described in the VENDOR.TXT file.  The program may be tried out
  27.   for up to 60 days without charge, after which time users should register it
  28.   or cease to use it.

  30.   Note that Shareware does not mean Freeware or Public Domain.  This program
  31.   is licensed software, and copying or using it without paying for it, except
  32.   as provided above, is a breach of copyright.

  37.   As stated, the license for this product entitles you to try it out for up to
  38.   60 days.  Use of the unregistered product beyond that period is a breach of
  39.   copyright and is against the law.  But apart from the legal obligation,
  40.   there are many benefits to be gained from registering.  You will receive:

  54.   Australian registration is A$30 shipped anywhere in the country.
  55.   International registration is A$34, US$26, £17.50, Dm45, ¥2800 shipped
  56.   anywhere in the world.  Wholesale and quantity discounts are available.
  57.   Registration gives a license for use of the program by one user or on one
  58.   machine, and entitles you to all the benefits listed above.

  60.   Special Site Licenses are available for businesses and educational/training
  61.   institutions for use on any number of computers by any number of people at
  62.   the one location.  An Australian Site License is A$130 including shipping.
  63.   An International Site License is A$135, US$100, £67, Dm175, ¥54000
  64.   including shipping.

  66.   Updates are released regularly, and unregistered copies of the latest
  67.   version are available from ARK ANGLES for just a shipping charge of $5
  68.   each, or from many good Shareware vendors.

  73. HOW TO REGISTER

  75.   Nothing is simpler.  We accept cash (of course), cheques (but may wait for
  76.   them to clear if they are large amounts), credit cards (Bankcard, Visa or
  77.   Mastercard only), bank drafts or postal/money orders.

  79.   Credit cards will always be billed in Australian dollars (A$) so you get
  80.   the latest and best exchange rate.  Cash, cheques, drafts etc can be in
  81.   Australian dollars or your local currency.  Calculate local currency prices
  82.   from any of the published International prices at the current exchange rate.

  84.   There are four easy ways to register:

  86.   1. PHONE:  Get your credit card ready, and the details of your equipment as
  87.      listed in the ORDERFRM.TXT file.  Then call (047)588100 for Australian
  88.      customers or Intl+61-47-588100 for International customers, and leave
  89.      your ordering information with the operator or answering machine.

  91.   2. FAX:  If you have a fax card on your computer, then simply edit the file
  92.      ORDERFRM.TXT with all the necessary information, otherwise print it and
  93.      fill it in manually.  Make sure all your credit card info is there, then
  94.      fax it to (047)588638 for Australian customers or Intl+61-47-588638 for
  95.      International customers.

  97.   3. POST:  Print ORDERFRM.TXT and fill it in.  Include your credit card
  98.      details, cheque, draft or money order and post the lot to ARK ANGLES
  99.      at 24 Alexander Ave, Hazelbrook NSW 2779, Australia.

  101.   4. E-MAIL:  Insert ORDERFRM.TXT into a note, fill it in with your credit
  102.      card information, and send it to 100237.141@compuserve.com on Internet

  117.   Support is given to unregistered users during the 60 day trial period, and
  118.   to registered users for 12 months.  This includes direct access to the
  119.   author and/or distributor by post, phone, fax and e-mail, plus notification
  120.   of fixes and new releases.

  122.   Feedback about all our programs is always appreciated.  The first registered
  123.   user to suggest a new function or other improvement will, if the suggestion
  124.   is adopted, receive a free upgrade to the first version that includes that
  125.   function, in addition to any other upgrades they are entitled to.

  144.   ARK ANGLES and/or David Berghouse warrant the physical disks and related
  145.   printed matter to be free of significant defects in materials and
  146.   workmanship, and that the program works largely in accordance with its
  147.   documentation.  This warranty is effective for three months from date of
  148.   registration, and is not transferrable.

  150.   No liability is accepted for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused by
  151.   the use of this product.  No warranty is made that it is suitable for any
  152.   particular person or purpose.  If this product is useful to you then please
  153.   register it, otherwise don't use it and don't pay for it.

  155.   In any event, the liability of ARK ANGLES and/or David Berghouse is
  156.   restricted to either a refund of the registration paid, a replacement of
  157.   the physical disks and/or printed matter, or the provision of an upgrade
  158.   to the latest version.
