--------------------------
1st Line = Incoming - Your incoming data holding directory
2nd Line = FidoNet - Where you want the FidoNet mail moved to
3rd Line = FileBone - Where you want the 'Files' moved to
4th Line = Usenet - Where you want the 'Bags' moved to
5th Line = Other - Where you want all 'Others' moved to
6th Line = UPLD.LST - Where to find the UPLD.LST
Only the top 6 lines are used. You can place notes under the 6th line if you
wish. I am showing you the one I use here on TRENDS!.
Incoming = ALL of your incoming data stream in this directory. Most are going
to be used to separating the directory structures like the
ACONFIG.SKY file has and that is fine with other programs like
Skymail, PCFU, or other programs. They basically check the files
and move to the correct directory after processing. Since I run
other utilities, it is easier for me on my system to have them all
checked as they come in and then moved to 'temporary' directories.
I can then point my config files for other programs to these
directories for ease of configurations. If you choose to use
separate directories for your incoming data stream, then I don't
think Check PC is for you. You will have to decide this. :)
FidoNet = This is where I want all the FidoNet mail bundles moved to. I then
have my utilities point to that directory for any processing of the
0000FFFF.* files for this run.
FileBone = This is where I want all of the files that come in from the
shareware distribution networks moved to. By default, if the file
being checked is not in the list of mail and other type files, it
will be treated as a 'file' and not mail.
Usenet = Where to place the 'Bag' files for Usenet. I did give this a
separate storage directory since the incoming data can be many
files for the day. Not like a .QWK network where a few bundles
is likely what you will receive. Just tell this line what directory
to place the PCUSENET.* files in.
Other = Other is all the other nets and specialty files. Here is where you
would tell Check PC that you want all the INTELEC.QW?, TVLIST*.*,
and other miscellaneous files to go. The following are the "BASE"
names that Check PC is looking for;
Miscellaneous : WEATHMAP, SATELITE, RADAR, SHOW, USATODAY, TVLIST
Other Networks: CRS, ROSE, PCUSENET, MAJORNET, INTELEC, LEDGE,
GLOBALNK, WGAMAIL, FRENCH, HCNMAIL, CONNECT,
ILINK, FMLYNET, FISHNET, WILDNET, SAFMAIL, SOM
If nets should be added, or if I forgot any, then they will be
added and a new version of Check PC will be released. If I have
'BASE' name wrong for any network, please let me know so that I
can change it. Since I don't use them all, I could be mistaken
on some of the names. Remember, it is only in the testing stages
at this time so mispellings can happen. <g>
UPLD.LST = This is where Check PC should look for the check against what has
arrived and what should have arrived. This feature is not a part
of Check PC at this time. I only wanted to configure it now so
that when it is implemented, you will be too. :)
