BASIC.DCT Basic Dictionary, No Plural Words And Few Adjectives.
Discription of configuaration by line number:
1. This line is for registered users to put the name to be seen on the
main menu's Registered to: Your Name
2. This line is for the registration number. Make sure you enter
your registration number exactly as provided, noting UPPER/lower
case and Zeros or Oh's.
3. Perform CRC check <Y/N>. Depending on the speed of your computer
the CRC check takes less than 1 second, and is only performed once.
This is to protect against Viruses and hackers from corrupting the
program. If the CRC check does not match, the message shown on
line 4 will be displayed to the user and the program will exit.
4. Message to display to user if program is corrupted. (Max 70 chars.)
5. Binary search of words (FAST) <Y/N>. The search for words to check
against the dictionary may be searched by the linear method or the
binary method. Depending on the speed of your computer, a search
for the word "ZOO" with the linear method may take a few seconds.
Since the binary method is so fast, the user may not see when the
program is checking any affected words. Slow computers should use
the Binary Method, and fast computers should use the linear method.
6. Number of dictionaries to use (Max 5). This option allows the
creator of a new game to pick the dictionary to use if there is
more than one available. You may have an extended dictionary that
has plural words and more adjectives than the dictionary distributed
with the shareware version, or you might want to have a "dude" or
"Klingon" dictionary (If you can find one, let me know please).
**NOTICE** Unregistered copies must use the dictionary provided.
7. Place the filename of the dictionary you want to use and a small
discription (Max 75 chars). The discription will be displayed to
the creator of a new game, those players choosing a game waiting
for more players and in the extended game information.
X. Use one line for each dictionary to use.
