  93.          BesThes has a basic vocabulary of 16,520 entries with an average
  94.          of 185 related words per entry, expandable to 28,635 entries
  95.          with 210 related words per entry by means of two additional
  96.          vocabulary- enrichment modules. It is a 3,056,200- /6,013,350-
  97.          word thesaurus, which in book form would require 10/20 heavy
  98.          volumes, respectively.

  141.          To print any of BesThes' DOC - REGISTER.DOC, BESTHES.DOC or
  142.        INSTALL.DOC - type at DOS command line:

  147.          found. (Replace filename by the name of the file.)

  150.                                    INSTALLATION

  152.          Nothing is simpler than installing BesThes.
  153.  
  154.          BesThes consists of seven files:
  155.  
  156.          1) BESTHES.COM, 2) BESTHES.DIC, 3) BESTHES.CDF, 4) BESTHES.DOC,
  157.          5) INSTALL.DOC,  6)OMBUDSMA.TXT, and 7)REGISTER.DOC
  158.  
  159.          The first three are the operative ones, and must be together in
  160.          the same subdirectory. Also bear in mind that:
  161.  
  162.          1) The path cannot include extensions within the names of the
  163.          subdirectories, e.g.
  164.  
  165.          C:\WORDPROC.ENG\THESAURU\BESTHES.DIC - wrong.
  166.  
  167.          C:\WORDPROC\THESAURU\BESTHES.DIC - correct.
  168.  
  169.          2) The only workable drives are A, B and C, (if you have a DOS 6
  170.             DOUBLE-SPACED drive C you must copy BESTHES' files onto the
  171.             HOST drive of C).

  173.          D:\WORDPROC\THESAURU\BESTHES.DIC - wrong.

  175.          3) If you have a partitioned fixed disk, you must place BesThes
  176.             in the first partition.

  178.          4) A DOS v3.2, or subsequent, is required.

  180.          IMPORTANT! Don't change the names of BesThes' files.

  184.          BesThes may be loaded in the high memory, thus saving
  185.          conventional memory for other applications.

  189.                When calling it up for first time, BesThes may report that
  190.          its files are too fragmented. In this case, you must do the
  191.          following:

  195.          1) Rename the BesThes operative files.

  197.          2) Copy, or PKUNZIP for a second time the BesThes operative
  198.             files onto your fixed disk. Since the overly fragmented area
  199.             of your disk is now filled with the renamed files, the new
  200.             ones will be copied onto another area. (It doesn't matter if
  201.             you copy them in the same subdirectory or in a different
  202.             one.)
  203.  
  204.          3) Try BesThes again. If it works, delete the renamed files,
  205.             and enjoy BesThes. If it doesn't - which is highly
  206.             improbable, repeat the procedure, copying BesThes onto a
  207.             third area of your disk.

  212.          You don't have to know anything about BesThes in order to enjoy
  213.          it. Each BesThes screen includes a complete description of all
  214.          relevant instructions.

  230.          Incompatibility with QEMM, prior to v7.04, has been reported by
  231.          some users. We have tested Besthes successfully with QEMM
  232.          7.04, which is avalaible to all QEMM 7 users through bulletin

  234.          well as directly from QuarterDeck Office Systems.

  272.          of the BesThes package intact. The license to use a

  274.          Using BesThes beyond this reasonable trial period requires a
