Final Status Report
STS-65
The Space Shuttle Columbia and its crew of seven astronauts touched down at
Kennedy Space Center at 5:38 a.m. CDT Saturday, ending the longest Space
Shuttle mission to date, over 14 and a half days in orbit.
The International Microgravity-2 mission featured 80 experiments in life
sciences, and scientists from several nations will now begin analyzing their
data.
Columbia landed on orbit 236, having traveled approximately 6,143,000 miles.
The seven-member crew will be welcomed back to Houston in a brief ceremony
between 4 and 5 p.m. CDT at the Hangar 990 area at Elling ton Field. Check
this recording later in the day for updated arrival times. The public is
welcome to attend.
