  79. NFL Forecaster is a copyrighted shareware product; it is not freeware or
  80. public domain. You can try it before you buy it and are encouraged to
  81. give copies to others (see "License" below).  If you like it and use it
  82. after 30 days, you must register the program by submitting the
  83. registration fee to 100% Cotton Software.

  85. When you register NFL Forecaster you will receive: (1) the latest
  86. version of the program (with main-dta.nfl current as of shipping day)
  87. which does not have a request-for-registration dialog box; (2)
  88. unlimited, life-time, free (not toll-free) telephone and mail support;
  89. (3) a complete set of archive files (10 years of scores, spreads and
  90. rankings); (4) a 25-percent discount coupon toward the purchase of the
  91. annual update disk ($5.25); (5) a $2.00 coupon toward the registration
  92. of any other 100% Cotton Software product; (6) JCSM Shareware CD
  93. certificate (thousands of shareware programs for $9.95 + S&H); (7) any

  115. need to "catch up." See the appropriate section of FORECAST.WRI.

  117. New to version 3.0w: (1) moveable toolbar with short-cut buttons; (2)
  118. moveable status bar/box; (3) copy to clipboard function; (4) functions
  119. to view and print archive scores and spreads; (5) new registration
  120. benefits.  The following are changed from version 2.0w: (1) revised to
  121. handle new 17-week NFL schedule; (2) archive files now contain scores
  122. and spreads as well as rankings; (3) bug that prevented installation on
  123. some systems corrected; (4) prediction algorithm improved to smooth
  124. weekly fluctuations.

  126. The schedule file, schedule.nfl, is not compatible with previous
  127. versions; there are now 17 regular season NFL games instead of 18. The
  128. weekly archive files (for example, week-09.94) are not compatible with
  129. previous versions; scores and spreads are now saved as well as rankings.

  131. Certain files of the NFL Forecaster package are updated every year to
  132. keep the package current with changes in the National Football league
  133. (for example, the schedule). If you have a version that is over twelve
  134. (12) months old, contact 100% Cotton Software to ensure that you have
  135. the latest version. Version 3.0w of NFL Forecaster was released 1 June
  136. 1994. The NFL Forecaster 3.0w package, FCAST30W.xxx, replaces versions
  137. 2.0w & 2.05w packages, 4CAST20W.xxx and 4CAST25W.xxx.

  153. ===== Installation =====================================

  155. NFL Forecaster's setup program makes NO changes to your autoexec.bat,
  156. config.sys, or win.ini files and it does not change your PATH statement
  157. (or any other environmental variable). Therefore, you can uninstall
  158. Forecaster simply by deleting the various Forecaster files.  The setup
  159. program's on-line help contains a complete list of files, their
  160. functions and locations.

  162. Setup will correctly install Forecaster from the self-extracting file
  163. (forc30w.exe) or from the group of files (already extracted from
  164. forc30w.exe) and from one drive and/or directory to another (that is,
  165. for example, from a:\ to c:\forecast or from c:\temp to c:\sports or
  166. from c:\forecast to c:\forecast).

  168. Use Windows program Manager's "File/Run" command to execute Forecaster's
  169. setup program. A description of each step the setup program takes is
  170. contained in setup's on-line help. At setup's main window, press the

  219. The registration fee will license one copy of NFL Forecaster for use on
  220. any one computer at any one time. You must treat this software like a
  221. book. That is, this software may be used by any number of people and may
  222. be freely moved from one computer location to another, so long as there
  223. is no possibility of it being used at one location while it is being
  224. used at another location (just as a book cannot be read by two persons
  225. at the same time at two different locations). If more than one copy of
  226. NFL Forecaster is used on more than one computer at the same time, each
  227. copy of NFL Forecaster must be individually registered or a special
  228. license must be obtained. Reduced-cost site, multiple-copy and school
  229. licenses are available. Write or call for information.
