  82.           pE will translate WordPerfect (5.1,5.2), WordForWindows (2.0)
  83.           AmiPro (2.0), Windows Write, and WordStar files into ASCII.
  84.           NO special effort required.

  86.           pE is an ASCII text editor that operates in a text window
  87.           environment.  The windows (up to 64) may be sized, moved,
  88.           zoomed, and colored differently.  File size is limited only
  89.           by memory.  Word processing features include word wrap at
  90.           right margin, left, center,  and right justification.  Over
  91.           175 functions.  Mouse (or keystrokes) can be used to mark,
  92.           cut, copy, paste, scroll, and DRAG text around.  Shift
  93.           cursor keys will extend block marks.  Boxes and lines can
  94.           be drawn with single key strokes around marked areas.  Pull
  95.           down menus, Pop Up Help system.  Fully documented.
  96.           Programmers features include regular expressions, brace
  97.           match, autoindent, autotab, macros and much more.  Very Fast!

  99.           pE requires PC/MS-DOS 3.0 or higher on an IBM PC,XT,AT,
  100.           PS/2 or compatible.  It supports all common video adapter
  101.           and monitor combinations.  pE is DESQview aware.

  104.           virtualize memory to 64MB on '286 and up computers.  VERY large

  144.           Individuals who wish to distribute the pE package to
  145.           friends or associates may do so in accordance with the
  146.           restrictions outlined in LICENSE.DOC.

  151.           As the exclusive copyright holder for pE, Just Excellent
  152.           Software authorizes distribution only in accordance with
  153.           the following restrictions.  Please refer to the
  154.           additional information listed below which is specific to
  155.           ASP and non-ASP Disk Vendors, Computer Clubs, and
  156.           Disk-of-the-Month style distribution.

  158.           The pE package is defined as containing all the material
  159.           listed in the PACKING.LST text file.  If any files listed
  160.           in the PACKING.LST text file, or the PACKING.LST file
  161.           itself, are missing, then the package is not complete and
  162.           distribution is forbidden.  Please contact us to obtain a
  163.           complete package suitable for distribution.

  165.           The pE package - including all related program files and
  166.           documentation files - CANNOT be modified in any way and
  167.           must be distributed as a complete package, without
  168.           exception.  The PACKING.LST text file contains a list of
  169.           all files that are part of the pE package.

  171.           No price or other compensation may be charged for the pE
  172.           package.  A distribution cost may be charged for the cost
  173.           of the diskette, shipping and handling, as long as the
  174.           total (per disk) does not exceed US$8.00 in the U.S. and
  175.           Canada, or US$12.00 internationally.

  177.           The pE package CANNOT be sold as part of some other
  178.           inclusive package.  Nor can it be included in any
  179.           commercial software packaging offer, without a written
  180.           agreement from Just Excellent Software.  For information
  181.           on combining pE with related programs to form a
  182.           "disk-set", please refer to the information below for ASP
  183.           or non-ASP Disk Vendors.

  185.           The PRINTED User's Guide may not be reproduced in whole or
  186.           in part, using any means, without the written permission
  187.           of Just Excellent Software, Inc.  In other words, the
  188.           disk-based documentation may not be distributed in
  189.           PRINTED (hardcopy) form.

  191.           The pE package cannot be "rented" or "leased" to others.

  193.           The person receiving a copy of the pE package MUST be
  194.           made aware that each disk or copy is ONLY for evaluation,
  195.           and that Just Excellent Software has not received any
  196.           royalties or payment for the product.  This requirement
  197.           can be met by including the complete pE package, which
  198.           contains any appropriate registration reminders.

  201.           made aware that he or she does not become a registered
  202.           user until Just Excellent Software has received payment
  203.           for registration of the software.  This requirement can

  207.           Licensee shall not use, copy, rent, lease, sell, modify,
  208.           decompile, disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or
  209.           transfer the licensed program except as provided in this
  210.           agreement.  Any such unauthorized use shall result in
  211.           immediate and automatic termination of this license.

  214.           disclosure by the U.S. Government of the computer software
  215.           and documentation in this package shall be subject to the
  216.           restricted rights applicable to commercial computer

  262.           us (Just Excellent Software) to distribute any of our

  267.           products as "FREE SOFTWARE".  Shareware is
  268.           "Try-Before-You-Buy" software, it is NOT free.
