WHY LISTEN TO SHORTWAVES ? ...
Fields of interest are various, of course, and all of them are enjoyable,
wherever you are tuned to a powerful station or a weak DX signal coming
from the other bottom of the world.
It'a good way to keep up-to-date on international news, especially
since the domestic media in most countries tend to ignore the rest of
the world, or present it from one point of view. Shortwave is also a
source of unusual and entertaining music. And listening to foreign
stations provides pratice for people studying foreign languages.
When you tuned in a range of shortwaves it can be compared to an exiting
sport as it give you the opportunity of having contacts with the whole
world, as the range of shortwaves is unlimited, when somebody knows how
to use it.
That's actually necessary to mention that the reception conditions of
shortwaves depend on both hour and saeson, on different wavesbands and
their sensitivity relating to ionospheric influences and on sunspots
activities.
RADIO DX also includes an enjoyable user friendly interface, which will
help you to to be comfortably initiated, and enjoy to be tuned in short
waves on the whole, and especially in the DX, in the very best conditions.
In developping DADIO DX, the autor did not have any other pretension
than trying to show and share his passion : tuned in shortwaves ...
