  11.     IMPORTANT:  If you have registered your copy of DSCOPY, your
  12.     serial number is on the shipping label of the package that
  13.     DSCOPY was mailed to you in. You will need to enter it when
  14.     you first start DSCOPY.

  17.     REGISTRATION:
  18.  
  19.     If you use DSCOPY productively, you must register your copy
  20.     and pay the license fee. The benefits of registering are:
  21.  
  22.     1.   You receive free support from Spitfire Software for both
  23.          application questions and problem resolution.
  24.  
  25.     2.   You receive a hard copy version of the DSCOPY User's
  26.          Guide.
  27.  
  28.     3.   You receive the OS/2 command line version of DSCOPY
  29.          which may be used in command files and Rexx programs.
  30.  
  31.     4.   You receive the Spitfire Software Newsletter
  32.          periodically which contains the latest information on
  33.          DSCOPY and other Spitfire Software products including
  34.          helpful hints, future enhancements, and update
  35.          information.
  36.  
  37.     5.   Discounts on future releases of the program.
  38.  
  39.     To register, simply print out the registration instructions
  40.     when DSCOPY asks for your registration number. You may either
  41.     mail in the form with a check for the license fee to Spitfire
  42.     Software or call the listed phone number and order by credit
  43.     card. In return you will receive the most current version of
  44.     the system, your registration number, and future mailings of
  45.     the Newsletter. Non USA residents must use a credit card or
  46.     send US funds, a check drawn on a USA bank, or an
  47.     international money order.

  50.     HARDWARE\SOFTWARE REQUIRED:
  51.  
  52.     DSCOPY runs under IBM OS/2 2.x. The hardware required is:
  53.  
  54.     1.   Any PC or PS/2 compatible computer.
  55.  
  56.     2.   A fixed disk with at least 300KB of available space.
  57.  
  58.  
  59.     INSTALLATION:
  60.  
  61.     If you have received DSCOPY on a diskette or CD-ROM, skip to
  62.     install-part 2. If you have down loaded DSCOPY from a BBS you
  63.     must first do the following:
  64.  
  65.     1.   When you have received DSCOPY electronically, it is
  66.          packed into one or more files using  PKZIP(r) by
  67.          Pkware, Inc. You must obtain a copy of PKUNZIP.EXE to
  68.          unpack the file. Most BBS's disk have copies of PKUNZIP
  69.          available for down loading.

  71.     2.   To unpack DSCOPY into the directory to which you down
  72.          loaded it, make that directory the default directory.
  73.          At the OS/2 command prompt enter the command:

  75.                          PKUNZIP  DSCOPY.ZIP

  79.     Installation, part 2:
  80.  
  81.     1.   If installing from diskette, place the distribution
  82.          diskette in your diskette drive.
  83.  
  84.     2.   At the OS/2 prompt enter:  "D:\PATH\INSTALL"   where D
  85.          is the drive letter of the diskette or fixed drive you
  86.          are installing from and, if installing from a fixed
  87.          disk, PATH is the path to the directory containing the
  88.          DSCOPY distribution files. For example to install from
  89.          diskette drive A, you would enter:

  91.                              A:\INSTALL
  92.  
  93.          To install from the directory DOWNLOAD on fixed disk
  94.          drive C, you would enter:
  95.  
  96.                          C:\DOWNLOAD\INSTALL
  97.  
  98.     3.   Answer the questions asked by the install program. Help
  99.          is provided for for each question or option.

  102.     STARTING DSCOPY:
  103.  
  104.     To start DSCOPY, click on the DSCOPY icon on your desk top.

  107.     HELP:

  109.     DSCOPY provides extensive context sensitive help and a
  110.     complete on-line user's guide. The standard OS/2 help
  111.     facilities are used to display the help text and guide.
