  2.      Call the number with the fax machine/recording device  using
  3. a telephone. Count the seconds from the beginning of the dial  to
  4. the end of the voice message. Devide the seconds by 2 and add  1.
  5. For  12 seconds that would be 12/2=6+1=7. Put 7 commas AFTER  the
  6. phone number.

  10. This tells the Faxmodem to wait for 14 seconds and THEN look  for
  11. the  fax to answer. If you need something to tell the Fax  device
  12. to answer, that can go after the last comma. One device uses #1..

  16.      This  also can work with an extension. Suppose you  have  to
  17. dial 344 after the answer to get the fax machine, and it takes 20
  18. seconds for the phone to answer after you dial.

  22.      Another  thing you can use is X1 (or NO call progress in SETUP)  which
  23. tells  the modem NOT to recognise BUSY, which means it cannot get  a  FALSE
  24. BUSY either.
