  1. 12-20-93                  Carrier Loss

  3.      The  S10 register tells the modem how long it can lose carrier  before
  4. disconnecting  from  the  remote device.  The default is  14  (S10=14)  1.4
  5. seconds. If you have trouble with what appears may be loss of carrier,  try
  6. increasing  this register. S10=30 or S10=50. (3 or 5 seconds). If  you  set
  7. S10=255 it will not (at least in theory) ever hang up by itself on loss  of
  8. carrier.
