Yet Another Grafitti Wall
SysOp Documentation for Version 1.00
▒▒▒▌OVERVIEW▐▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒
Another local programmer mentioned to my one day that he
was thinking about writing a Graffiti Wall door. About 1
hour later, I sent him the first draft of this program with
a little message saying "I got bored <G>." He proceeded to
write his program and put it up on his board. After a couple
of comments comparing the two program on each board, the
contest began! I started updating this program nightly and
he started updating his. This one finally reached some
critical mass and I decided to release it. Hope you enjoy!
Put Simply, it allows users to enter Quotes and then displays
them in a nifty little screen.
It does have a few more features however.
For instance, if there is a file called BADWORDS.TXT in the
current directory, the program will filter out all words
found in there from the quotes and replace them with <Bleep>.
If a file called BADNAMES.TXT is found in the current dir,
the program will search that and decided whether or not to
ask the user to add his wisdom. You define how long to keep
quotes around. Old quotes are deleted automatically!
Once registered, you can define all the colors used to
display the quotes so you can make the program look like YOU
want it to and now how I want it to.

Put all the files in the archive in one directory.
Run GWALL CONFIG and answer all the questions.
That's it!
▒▒▒▌OPERATION▐▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒
Change to the directory where GWALL.EXE is located.
Then run it as:
GWALL <Node>
For a single node, you would use:
GWALL 1
If you are using my DoorMan program, then single run command
would be:
GWALL @N
If you are running Wildcat 3.x, then you could use:
GWALL %WCNODEID%
▒▒▒▌REGISTRATION▐▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒

▒▒▒▌NOTES▐▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒
This door is ANSI Only! It does not support Non-ANSI callers!
if a caller attempts to enter the door with ANSI disabled, it
will simply exit without notice. I designed it this way
because I use it as a Logon event on my system. If the caller
doesn't have ANSI, there's no need to stop and ask any
questions, just exit and keep going.
If a caller enters in RIP mode, and a file called BACKGRND.RIP
exists in the current directory, the program will display that
file then the regular ANSI quotes. If you modify the sample
provided or put in one of your own, make SURE there is an
80x25 text window in the screen and NO hot keys on buttons!
This door does not expire! It will run forever unregistered.
However, every so often until registered, the door will auto
post a little message on the wall stating that it is not
registered and how many days it has been running. You may
find that the frequency of these messages increases the longer
you run the program without registering <G>.
