  9. Merry Meet!

  11. WitchNet is an Echo Mail Service, catering to the interests and needs of
  12. pagans today.  Although the emphasis is in Wiccan ideas, all ideas and
  13. beliefs relating to paganism, witchcraft, or similar subjects are welcome
  14. The rules are short and quite simple as outlined below.

  17. Aliases:
  18. ========
  19. Alias are allowed on the Host System. Subordinate Systems have the
  20. option of allowing aliases or not.  Please don't make them obnoxious 
  21. though <Grin>.

  24. S/R's, Regionals, HUBS, Nodes:
  25. ==============================
  26. All member systems must be approved through P&PNet Administration.
  27. There are no exceptions to this rule.  This is done by filling out and
  28. sending the attached application (WITCHNET.APP).
  29.  
  30. To operate on any level higher that a node (that is all the rest), you 
  31. are required to have all the conferences available on your BBS so that 
  32. others my be allowed to echo mail from you.  All BBSs with SuperRegional, 
  33. Regional, Hub, or Node status (that means everyone) are required to carry 
  34. the WN_ADMIN conference.

  36. There is a one-time lifetime fee of $10.  Basically, the this is a 
  37. miminal cost for operations and long distance fees for verification and 
  38. newsletters.  The NET is designed to allow everybody interested in Wicca 
  39. or other pagan religions to chat with others with their interests and to 
  40. share new ideas.  Most of all WitchNet is designed to be a place to 
  41. interact with others and to have fun!

  44. Conference Hosts:
  45. =================
  46. Conference Host will basically have the easiest assignment of any
  47. network.  The Hosts will ensure that no graphics or ASCII color codes
  48. are used in messages, that over quoting does not occur, and that taglines
  49. do not exceed the four line maximum.  Also, fowl language is not really
  50. necessary to intellegently express one's self, and therefore, Hosts
  51. will screen and delete any offensive language.

  53. Anyone wishing to become a Conference Host should send a message addressed
  54. to Lord Lincoln within the WN_ADMIN conference.
  55.  
  56. If a dispute arises in any conference, then WitchNet Administration, 
  57. which consists of the two founders of the conference, will weigh the 
  58. issues at hand and rendered the appropriate punishment as warranted by 
  59. the infraction.  However, it is the hope of WitchNet that this will never 
  60. be necessary.

  63. Taglines and high ASCII characters:
  64. ===================================
  65. Lets not get to carried away with our taglines. 4 lines maximum please.
  66. No graphic designs/colors. WitchNet accepts several BBS program types to
  67. allow a maximum number of BBS to access it and not all are the same.
  68. Keep at least one tagline within this format:

  70. [WitchNet] - (BBS name) (city), (2 digit state) ((area) Phone #).
  71. Ex:  [WitchNet] - House of Avalon  Orem, UT  (801) 225-6136.

  73. Private Messages:

  75. Private messages are not to be entered in any conference except for the 
  76. PRIVATE Conference. -=<See Conference Description for more details/
  77. information.>=-  This is because the limited capabilites that are a part
  78. of this type of EchoMail system.  SysOps should configure these message
  79. conferences so that users will not be able to write private messages where
  80. they are not allowed.

  83. Language:

  85. Please refrain from using fowl language.  It is unbecoming and very 
  86. unnecessary within the environment of WitchNet.

  89. Personal Attacks:

  91. "An ye harm none, do what thou will."  A great motto to live by! 
  92. Please do not attack any individual on the net in any manner.  Our ideas
  93. are those of love and peace.  Also, since we claim the priviledge of living
  94. by our beliefs, we must allow others to do the same.  Do not attack any
  95. dogma or creed of any other religious institution.

  101. That is all the rules that I have right now.  As time progresses, however, 
  102. I do reserve the right to change and/or modify the rules as need arises.
