  42. This document is available via anonymous ftp at the University of
  43. Nevada (ftp nevada.edu  directory /liaison).

  45. This guide was compiled primarily for librarians who provide
  46. reference assistance for U.S. Government Documents and contains
  47. telnet, gopher and ftp sites which may assist in providing
  48. reference service for library patrons who need government
  49. information.   It is impossible to fully index Internet sites and
  50. I recommend utilizing Veronica, Archie and gopher servers to locate
  51. more information.  FreeNets also provide easy access to government
  52. information especially for local and state information.  A new
  53. feature on the gopher at the University of Syracuse is Oliver which
  54. provides easy access to many U.S. government sites and gophers.
  55. Also, check out the NST and USDA Gophers which provide easy access
  56. to many U.S. government databases.  Government information,
  57. especially electronic is constantly changing and I welcome any
  58. corrections and suggestions.

  60. A word about gophers; if I know the telnet address and password for
  61. a gopher I have included login instructions.  However, I recommend
  62. you "point your gopher client" to other gophers instead of using
  63. telnet.  This not only facilitates login but may also be easier to
  64. use.  Your computing services can provide you with information on
  65. your institution's gopher capabilities.

  69. Halifax, Nova Scotia and the University of New Brunswick, Canada I
  70. conducted a number of workshops on U.S. government information.  I
