  1. If you have problems with locking up in the game, it is due to a
  2. sound card incompatibility.  To remedy this situation, try the
  3. following:

  5.  . Make a clean boot disk free of any TSR's.
  6.  
  7.  . Turn off the Weather option
  8.  
  9.  . Turn off the sound by deleting SOUND.CFG and selecting No Sound.
  10.  
  11. Also, when the game is loading and it does not want to continue,
  12. hit the space bar to regenerate a map.
