  4. This demonstration program is designed to show how you can use ShroudIt!
  5. to protect your source code.  Using a small 'C' program as an
  6. illustration, you will see how it can be obfuscated so that the details
  7. of the program are obscured.

  9. You can review the details of each step in the process as you move through
  10. each option on the menu.

  12. A full description of all the features in ShroudIt! can be found in the
  13. on disk manual - SHROUDIT.DOC, and details of the files in PACKING.LST.

  15. ShroudIt! is designed to be configurable to fit the exact details of
  16. your particular source code and compiler.  This is an iterative process
  17. requiring successive tuning.  You should start with a small program,
  18. less than 500 lines, with minimal includes (or copybooks), and only do
  19. base level shrouding without compression.  This will give you confidence
  20. in the method, and allow you to step up to more complex components
  21. later.
