  50. % This file is sent out regularly in the RGSF_BONE file area.  The RGSF_BONE 
  51. % is a group of nodes who provide a file distribution service.  This list 
  52. % contains information on all of the File Distribution Nets (FDNs) carried by 
  53. % the RGSF_BONE.

  60. % The following format is used to describe each of the File Distribution Nets.
  61. %
  62. %     Kywd FileTag   Level Flags  Description
  63. %     ---- --------  ----  -----  --------------------------------------------
  64. %     Area XYZ_GIF   0     !      XYZ: GIF files for the XYZ program
  65. %
  66. %         "Area"  - Used by RAID and similar programs to
  67. %                   denote the beginning of an file area definition.
  68. %
  69. %         FileTag - Name of area that files will be sent under.  Similar to an
  70. %                   echomail areatag.
  71. %
  72. %         Level   - Security level (0-4096) used to protect this area
  73. %
  74. %         Flags   - Access flags (see below) to control who's allowed to feed,
  75. %                   and what type of echo it is.
  76. %
  77. %         Desc    - FDN abbreviation followed by a description of the area's
  78. %                   contents.
  79. %
  80. % There are five types of access flags:
  81. %
  82. %     "!" - Filebone distribution.  Areas marked with this flag are carried by
  83. %           the Filebone and can found at any Filebone Hub site (see below).
  84. %
  85. %     "." - Open distribution.  While unrestricted in nature, these areas are
  86. %           *NOT* distributed by the Filebone.  Although many Filebone Hubs do
  87. %            in fact carry them, you may be forced to find your own feed.
  88. %
  89. %     "*" - Hatching is allowed by *any* node attached to the area.  This flag
  90. %           may be mixed with any of the others.  If an area does not contain
  91. %           this flag, then you may not hatch directly into it.  There will
  92. %           either be a "return channel" provided or you must send your
  93. %           submission directly to the FDN head or other listed site.
  94. %
  95. %     "&" - Do not send this area to any downlinks.  This flag usually 
  96. %           indicates that an area is a "return channel" to be used for 
  97. %           submitting files to a FDN head for distribution.  Be sure to 
  98. %           remove it in your TIC.CFG for your uplink *only*.  This flag
  99. %           should only be used in conjunction with the "*" flag.
  100. %
  101. % ( all  )  Restricted distribution.  These areas are privately distributed 
  102. % (others)  and are *NOT* carried by the Filebone.  You must contact the FDN 
  103. %           head to obtain a feed.
  104. %
  105. % This format is based on the TIC and RAID programs.  Indeed, you can directly
  106. % use this file as part of your RAID config file.  For example, the following
  107. % DOS command could be used to create your new RAID.CFG file from the weekly
  108. % RGSNBONE.NA file along with prefix and suffix files (RAID.BEG and RAID.END)
  109. % containing your personal configuration information:

  111. %     Copy  RAID.BEG + FILEBONE.NA + RAID.END  RAID.CFG
