  29. *VERSION 3.1* - This version offers an improved data link with the Time Master. I found that the link was good before but I really needed to modify tasks from the Phone Master. Switching back and forth was a pain at best. So we improved the DDE link dramatically to allow editing and creating new tasks from the Phone Master! You can also modify your task description when you right click. If anyone has any other comments please leave me mail.

VERSION 3.0 - The most obvious difference is the appearance with the toolbar move to the top of the form and the addition of several icons. However, the largest change (and one we're very proud of!) is the data exchange between the Phone Master and (our new release!) The Time Master! I won't bore you with details about The Time Master, however, if you like the Phone Master then you must try The Time Master. The Phone Master can "talk" to the Time Master through sophisticated (but easy to use) Data Links. If you register we'll send you a free shareware copy! You'll also notice a new "windows" help system.

Version 2.5 contains many changes and was delayed for several months for testing. The popularity of this software has been incredible. And there have been many requests for improvements. The suggestion that I received the most was to remove the last name limitation. In past versions you could not use the same last name twice. The software will now let you have as many records as you want with the same last name.

  37. - FASTER! There is a dramatic and noticeable increase in speed for almost all areas.

  39. - You now can add up to 3,000 names! (old maximum number of names: 1,000)

  43. - New files are only a few bytes long instead of 700k

  45. - A New Version of the Import Wizard. Now allows larger uploads.

  47. - Modem speaker off option in Environment now works for all modems.

  49. Version 1.9d allows you to change the fonts and colors of the text displayed on the main screen. To modify the settings enter the Environment Display Area. A new icon is available called "FONTS".

  51. Version 1.9 introduces a timer which allows you to track the time each call takes and the date it is made. You can also keep a log file (PHONE.LOG) of ALL phone calls made. Great for comparing your phone bill to actual calls made.

Version 1.9 also introduces the Import Data Wizard. The Wizard will allow you to import data into the system by following a simple 3 step procedure. Both the timer and this wizard were requested by users of the software. Version 1.8 introduced several nice features to the software. There are now two status bars on the bottom of the screen. One is for the new quick help while the other is the standard information box. For new users they should be helpful in learning the software. For veterans it will probably be annoying. So you can turn them off by choosing the menu item "QUICK HELP" under help or by entering the environment display area.

  55. Another nice feature is that you can decide not to show the status bars at all! The benefit is that you have a little more landscape on your Windows screen for other applications. To turn them off enter the environment area and change this option.

  57. We had several reports of our software not dialing certain modems. The system would either not respond or send an error message. I have completely rewritten this code from the bottom up. It appears to have been very successful.

Registered users can now automatically update registered copies of The Phone Master by downloading the shareware version. The setup program will automatically patch the registered copy while still maintaining all available registered version perks. We have mailed the latest release to all registered users.
