  3. Quick Setup - Windows
  4.  
  5. 1) Type "SETUP" and press [Enter]
  6. 2) Select directory name and press [Enter] (default is C:\BEST)
  7. 3) Click the icon or run "\BEST\WINBEST" from the Program Manager
  8. 4) Choose Setup from the File menu to customize your program
  9. 5) You may drag the icon into another Program group & <Delete> the new one
  10. 6) Single click an item or button to select it
  11.

  14. 1) Run "INSTALL" from drive A: or B:
  15. 2) Press [Enter] if directory name is OK (C:\BEST) Press Ctrl-C to abort
  16. 3) Type \BEST\DOSBEST to start program

  44. See REORDER.FRM for info about registering or upgrading to Personal Best 2.1
  45. Be sure to upgrade once a year.  Besides getting the revised databases  (new,
  46. you still keep the old), you get added features, up-to-date holiday settings,
  47. and current information.  Although our prices should probably increase as our
  48. product evolves, you get to keep the upgrade price when you purchased or last
  49. upgraded the product.  Say for example the upgrade price in this document was
  50. $17 and our current upgrade costs $37, you could upgrade for only $17. That's
  51. $20 off and a major savings off the retail price.

  151. Personal Best runs commands in the order parameters given (or setup file order)
  152. Commands in the DOS command line override settings in the setup file (BEST.INI)
  153. If you have black & white monitor and a CGA adapter type DOSBEST /B
  154. If you run Windows from AUTOEXEC.BAT you may want to run "DOSBEST /Q"
  155. & then "WIN :" to read the day's jokes while Windows is loading. DOSBEST does
  156. not have as many features as WINBEST but has most of the important ones.
