  1.    Selecting Conferences Help
  2.    ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
  3.    Selecting conferences  in the most important  part of using the QWK mail
  4.    door.  Here you select what type of messages you want to read by joining
  5.    message areas with the (J)oin function.  You can do this many areas at a
  6.    time by seperating the area numbers with a space.  For example "1 34 23"
  7.    would join the three areas listed.    You will then be asked a series of
  8.    questions.

  10.    Receive what type of messages? (A/p/g/?) if you are not sure of what the
  11.    letters A/p/g mean, press "?" for a decription of each. Recieve messages
  12.    written by yourself?  Usually you would select "No" here unless you want
  13.    to download messages you had already written and sent.  Apply Filters or
  14.    Apply Keywords? If you have defined any keywords or filters (or plan to)
  15.    this  is where you can apply them to the areas you wish them to work on.
  16.    Start from your last message read?   Normally you would select "Yes" but
  17.    sometimes - if you are joining a busy conference - you might not want to
  18.    start from the first message if you haven't read any messages before, in
  19.    this case,  you can select the number of messages back you'd like to go.
