  1.           SOFTWARE LICENSE

  3.           Letter Box is not and has never been public domain software, nor is it
  4.           free software.
  5.  
  6.           Non-licensed users are granted a limited license to use Letter Box on a
  7.           30-day trial basis for the purpose of determining whether Letter Box is
  8.           suitable for their needs.  The use of Letter Box, except for the
  9.           initial 30-day trial, requires registration.  The use of
  10.           unlicensed copies of Letter Box by any person, business, corporation,
  11.           government agency or any other entity is strictly prohibited.
  12.  
  13.           A single user license permits a user to use Letter Box only on a single
  14.           computer.  Licensed users may use the program on different
  15.           computers, but may not use the program on more than one computer
  16.           at the same time.
  17.  
  18.           No one may modify or patch the Letter Box executable files in any way,
  19.           including but not limited to decompiling, disassembling, or
  20.           otherwise reverse engineering the program.
  21.  
  22.           A limited license is granted to copy and distribute Letter Box only for
  23.           the trial use of others, subject to the above limitations, and
  24.           also the following:
  25.  
  26.              1.  Letter Box must be copied in unmodified form, complete with the
  27.                  file containing this license information. Repacking of the
  28.                  self-extracting file is prohibited. If you must unpack to
  29.                  examine the contents for virus's, etc. do so, but please
  30.                  distribute only the unmodified original file!
  31.  
  32.              2.  The full machine-readable Letter Box documentation must be
  33.                  included with each copy.
  34.  
  35.              3.  Letter Box may not be distributed in conjunction with any other
  36.                  product without a specific license to do so from Firefly
  37.                  Software Systems Corp.
  38.  
  39.              4.  No fee, charge, or other compensation may be requested or
  40.                  accepted, except as authorized below:
  41.  
  42.                     a.  Operators of electronic bulletin board systems
  43.                         (sysops) may make Letter Box available for downloading
  44.                         only as long as the above conditions are met.  An
  45.                         overall or time-dependent charge for the use of the
  46.                         bulletin board system is permitted as long as there
  47.                         is not a specific charge for the download of Letter Box.
  48.  
  49.                     b.  Vendors of user-supported or shareware software
  50.                         approved by the ASP may distribute Letter Box, subject to
  51.                         the above conditions, without specific permission.
  52.                         Non-approved vendors may distribute Letter Box only after
  53.                         obtaining written permission from Firefly Software
  54.                         Systems Corp. Such permission is usually granted.
  55.                         Please write for details(enclose your catalog).
  56.                         Vendors may charge a disk      duplication and
  57.                         handling fee, which, when pro-rated to the Letter Box
  58.                         product, may not exceed eight dollars.
