  1. USER'S NAME                                                                                                                 Enter the users complete name.    The name may be a maximum of25 characters long.                                                                                                         CITY AND STATE USER IS FROM                                                                                                 Enter the city and state the user is from.    This is a "Text"field so any format you desire may be used.                                                                                 USER'S SECURITY PASSWORD                                                                                                    This may be up to 12 characters.  It is "STRONGLY" recommendedyou do not let users  use an easy password such as their firstor last name.                                                                                                               BUSINESS/DATA PHONE NUMBER                                                                                                  This should be the user's "WORK" or "DATA" phone number.   Anyformat may be used.                                                                                                         VOICE PHONE NUMBER                                                                                                          This should be the user's  "VOICE"  (home phone) number.   Anyformat may be used.                                                                                                         USER'S SECURITY LEVEL                                                                                                       Enter the users security level.  This may range from 0 to 255.                                                              TIME USED TODAY                                                                                                             Enter the time to be charged to the users maximum allowed timefor today.                                                                                                                  If you set this field to "0" and the user call back during thesame day,   the user  will have  the  full amount  of time  asdefined in the PWRD file for his security level.                                                                            DELETED USER FLAG                                                                                                           Enter a  "Y"  to have the users account deleted  when you packyour userbase the next time, such as in your system event.                                                                  An alternate method to mark this user for deletion is to pressthe <Alt><D> keys.                                                                                                          LAST DATE ON SYSTEM                                                                                                         Enter the date the user last logged onto the BBS.  Utilize theMM/DD/YY format.                                                                                                            Example:  04/18/91                                                                                                          NUMBER OF UPLOADS                                                                                                           Enter the number of files the user has "Uploaded" to your BBS.                                                              NUMBER OF DOWNLOADS                                                                                                         Enter the number of files  the user has "Downloaded" from yourBBS.                                                                                                                        BYTES UPLOADED TO BBS                                                                                                       Enter the total  number of bytes  the user has  "Uploaded"  toyour BBS.                                                                                                                   BYTES DOWNLOADED FROM BBS                                                                                                   Enter the  total number of bytes  the  user  has  "Downloaded"from your BBS.                                                                                                              TIMES LOGGED ONTO BBS                                                                                                       Enter the number of times  the user has logged onto the BBS.                                                                USER'S TEXT PAGE LENGTH                                                                                                     Enter the user's screen height.   This  setting  controls  thenumber of lines  in a file or message  that will  be displayedbefore a  "More"  prompt is sent.   24 is recommended for mostusers.                                                                                                                      FILE TRANSFER PROTOCOL                                                                                                      Enter the letter  which  signifies  the default  file transferprotocol to use.   This letter  "MUST"  match one specified inthe "fnetprot.dat" file.                                                                                                    EXPIRATION DATE                                                                                                             If operating in subscription mode, enter the user's expirationdate in YYMMDD format.                                                                                                      Example:  911225                                                                                                            CONFERENCE REGISTRATION FLAG                                                                                                Enter an  "X"  to register a user  in a conference  or  a  " "(SPACE) to unregister a user in a private or public conference                                                              Note that a user  "MUST"  be registered  by the sysop  to haveaccess to a PRIVATE conference.                                                                                             A user  not already registered  in a PUBLIC conference  "MUST"have a security level equal to  or  greater than that requiredto  READ  messages  in  the  conference  in order to  join theconference unless the sysop manually registers  the user usingthis utility.                                                 ALLOWED TO USE THE [P]RIVATE FILES FUNCTION                                                                                 Enter "Y" if you want this user  to be able to use the Privatefile transfers command  from the file transfer area.   Personswho use this command  may send private files  to any user  whoALSO  has authorization  to  use  the  [P] command.                                                                         PRIVATE FILES AWAITING DOWNLOAD                                                                                             Enter "Y" if you want to flag this user's account  to indicate"private"  files are waiting to be downloaded.                                                                              This allows the sysop  to make  files available  for users whoare allowed to use the "private" upload and download functions                                                              Private files uploaded by one user to another  will cause thisbit to be set automatically.                                                                                                BYTES DOWNLOADED TODAY                                                                                                      Enter the total number of bytes the user has "downloaded" fromyour BBS today.                                                                                                             CO-SYSOP CONFERENCE REGISTRATION FLAG                                                                                       Enter an X to designate a user as a Co-SysOp for a Conference.A (SPACE) ' ' will deny the user Co-Sysop Privileges.                                                                       The user "MUST" meet the normal criteria  to JOIN a conference( private or public )  to be recognized  as a Co-Sysop  by theFeatherNet BBS Software.   A user with Co-Sysop privileges cando the following in a conference:                                                                                                         Read Any Mail - PUBLIC or PRIVATE.                            Delete (KILL) any message.                                    Edit any Message.                               PATH AND FILENAME OF ASCII FILE EDITOR                                                                                      Enter the  Complete  path and filename of an ASCII file editorto use when editing text files configured in FNCFG.                                                                         Any file  which  can be edited  by this editor  causes a high-lighted bar on the last line of the configuration screen to behighlighted with:                                                                                                              " F2 to Edit Ascii File or F3 to Edit Graphics File "                                                                    Example:  D:\EDITORS\MYEDITOR.EXE                                                                                           PATH AND FILENAME OF GRAPHICS FILE EDITOR                                                                                   Enter the complete path and filename of a GRAPHICS file editorto use when editing ANSI/GRAPHICS files configured in FNCFG.                                                                Any file  which  can be edited  by this editor  causes a high-lighted bar on the last line of the configuration screen to behighlighted with:                                                                                                              " F2 to Edit Ascii File or F3 to Edit Graphics File "                                                                    Example:  D:\EDITORS\ANSIEDIT.EXE                                                                                           FILES DOWNLOADED TODAY                                                                                                      Enter the  number of files  this user  has  downloaded  today.This number is reset to zero at midnight.                                                                                   AMOUNT OF MONEY RECEIVED                                                                                                    Enter the  amount of funds you have received from this user tobe  credited  to his account.   This amount  will be  used  tocalculate  the  total amount of money  received  and the totalnumber of hours purchased.  To  clear the entry before leavingthis field, press the Alt-C key combination.                                                                                COST OF ONE HOUR'S TIME                                                                                                     Enter  the  cost  for  one hour  of system use.   This  figurecombined with any prior balance determine the amount of time auser has "bought".   The figure  you enter is immediately usedto recalculate any remaining balance.                                                                                       NOTE: Altering this value permanently changes the subscription      time remaining  for this user and adjusts  the account's      balance.                                                                                                              USERS STREET ADDRESS #1                                                                                                     Enter the users street address #1.  This would normally be thephysical street address.                                                                                                    Use Street Address #2 for post office boxes, apartment numberssuite numbers, etc.                                                                                                         USERS STREET ADDRESS #2                                                                                                     Enter the users Street Address #2.   Normally this is the postoffice box, apartment number, suite number, etc.                                                                            Use Street Address #1 for the physical "Street" address.                                                                    USERS CITY                                                                                                                  Enter the City from where the caller is actually calling from.                                                              USERS STATE OR PROVINCE                                                                                                     Enter the State or Province the user is actually calling from.                                                              USERS ZIPCODE                                                                                                               Enter the users postal Zipcode. This may be either be 5 or thethe 5+4 codes.                                                                                                              USERS COUNTRY                                                                                                               Enter the Country the user is calling from.                                                                                 USERS ALIAS NAME                                                                                                            Enter the users Alais and/or Nickname.  This name will will beallowed  to be used  in place of the users REAL name  based onyour configuration setup. (FNCFG.EXE)                                                                                       USERS DATE-OF-BIRTH                                                                                                         Enter the users Date-Of-Birth.  Format is MM/DD/YY.                                                                         NOTE:  The "/" will automatically be placed between the proper       fields.                                                                                                              USERS SEX                                                                                                                   Enter "F" for female or "M" for male.                                                                                       NUMBER OF MESSAGES THE USER HAS LEFT                                                                                        This number reflects the number of messages  the user has leftwhether private or public.                                                                                                  CLEAR SCREEN "BETWEEN" MESSAGES                                                                                             Enter a "Y" to Clear the screen "Between" messages.                                                                         Entering an  "N"  in this field  will  allow  the  screens  to"Scroll", including the header.                                                                                             SCROLL SCREEN WHILE READING MESSAGES                                                                                        Entering a "Y" will cause the screen to scroll normally.                                                                    Entering an  "N"  will "LOCK" the message header at the top ofthe screen.                                                                                                                 USERS PERSONAL COMMENT                                                                                                      This reflects the users personal comment that was entered whenlogging on.   This may be edited by the user.                                                                               NOTE: This field may be displayed with the @UCOMMENT@ macro in      a screen.                                                                                                             SYSOPS USER COMMENT                                                                                                         This field  is used  for the SysOp  to store  ANY  informationabout the user.                                                                                                             NOTE:  This information is private and may ONLY be seen by the       SysOp ONLY.                                                                                                          USE THE HI-LITED FLAG AND/OR VIEW OPTION                                                                                    Entering a  "Y"  will allow the user  to use the hi-lited filemarking method when viewing or flaging files.                                                                               Normal operation is used if an "N" is entered.                PURGE USERS                                                   Purging permanently removes users who have not called prior toa specified  date if  their  security level is  less  than thelevel you specify to "keep".                                                                                                The  PURGE  function  requires  you to  enter  the  "last datecalled" in MMDDYY format. i.e. 122592 = December 25, 1992. Youthen enter a minimum security level to "keep".                                                                              All users who last  called the  system on or prior to the dateentered  and  whose  security  level is  LESS  THAN  the levelentered will be PURGED.                                       SORT USER RECORDS                                             Sorting user  records  allows you to  re-order the  USERS fileusing  one  of nine  criteria:  Last  Name  then  First  Name;Password; Voice  Phone; Data  Phone; City/State;  RegistrationExpiration  Date;  Security  Level; Date of  Birth;  Number ofMessages Left.                                                                                                              One primary reason for  sorting would be to allow  printing ofuser records in a more useful order.                          PRINTING USER RECORDS                                         Printing user records allows you to maintain a  "hard copy" ofyour USERS file.                                                                                                            You may print any range of records by entering the appropriaterecord numbers when prompted.  There are three modes of outputyou may choose from:                                                                                                        (A) Short Format (One Line - Name, City/State, Sec Lvl, VPhone(B) Long Format (Multiple Lines - All  information for a user)(C) Expiration Date (One Line - Name, VPhone, Expiration Date)AMOUNT TO DEBIT ACCOUNT                                                                                                     Enter the amount you intend to  DEBIT or CHARGE  this account.This will be immediately added to the total amount the accounthas been accessed.                                            TOTAL MONEY RECEIVED                                                                                                        Exercise EXTREME caution if you edit this field!  Editing thisfield will change the TOTAL AMOUNT you have received from thisuser.                                                         TOTAL MONEY USED                                                                                                            Exercise EXTREME caution if you edit this field!  Editing thisfield will change the TOTAL AMOUNT the user's account has beenaccessed for services.                                        ALLOW STEALTH MODE                                                                                                          Enter a "Y" to allow this user to utilize the  "STEALTH"  modewhich "HIDES" a node from other nodes by only  displaying  thenode number and  "Stealth Mode" to other  nodes when they  usethe "N" command to display the status of all nodes.                                                                         The SysOp can still view the caller's name and city/state withFNODEMON.EXE  although  the  node status will show "In StealthMode".                                                                                                                      A  stealth node can't be paged for chat and can't  join  chat.The "HIDE" command can be used to toggle stealth mode.
