  14. This file provides information for Shareware Distributors and Disk
  15. Vendors who wish to distribute the FM StepUp software.

  17. The following paragraph is an extract from the license agreement
  18. regarding the distribution of FM StepUp:

  21. Making and Distributing Unregistered Copies of the Program.
  22.  
  23. You may make as many copies of the Program as you wish, give them
  24. to others, upload them to any BBS or FTP site worldwide, include
  25. them in software collections such as CD-ROM disks, distribute them
  26. through Disk-of-the-Month (or Subscription) Distribution, and
  27. distribute them in any other possible way, as long as you:
  28.  
  29. --      do not share your Registration Number with anyone else and
  30. do not make copies of any printed materials from your Registration
  31. Package, if the copy you use is a Registered Copy;
  32.  
  33. --      include all of the unmodified files, as listed in the
  34. PACKING.LST file included with your copy. If any of the files or
  35. the PACKING.LST file itself is missing, you should contact us, or
  36. the dealer you obtained the Program from, to receive the complete
  37. set of files;

  39. --      agree not to sell the Unregistered Copies of the Program
  40. or distribute them to others for any kind of compensation or fee
  41. (small shipping and handling fees are OK), unless you have
  42. received written permission from us; and your permission to
  43. distribute the Program has not been revoked by us;

  45. --      agree to inform the user(s) that the Unregistered Copy is
  46. to be used for a time limited evaluation period, and that it must
  47. be registered to continue to use the Program once the evaluation
  48. period has ended;

  50. --      do not bundle the Program with any other software without
  51. our written permission.

  54. The FM StepUp package CANNOT be sold as part of some other
  55. inclusive package. Nor can it be included in any commercial
  56. software packaging offer, without a written agreement from
  57. ChaoSoft.

  60. or other literature which describes our products as "FREE
  61. SOFTWARE". Shareware is "Try-Before-You-Buy" software, it is not
  62. free.

  64. ChaoSoft prohibits the distribution of outdated versions of the FM
  65. StepUp package, without written permission from ChaoSoft.  If the
  66. version you have is over three (3) months old, please contact us
  67. to ensure that you have the most current version. This version was
  68. released in June 1994.
