What Entire Viewer is:
- a file viewer
- self importing. It imports copies of files to it's own .exe file
- self extracting. It exports copies of internal text to disk
- self replicating. It creates an exact copy of itself, minus
the internal text.
- a DOS program
- an archiver
What it is NOT:
- it is NOT a compression program.
- it is NOT an offline mail reader.
- it does NOT EVER write to disk except to export text files
at your request, or when creating temporary copy files.
- it is NOT a Windows program
- it will NEVER do anything that you don't ask it to.
- it NEVER deletes fils from disk, or from itself
====================================================================
This program makes copies of files and imports them into itself. It does
not delete the original files.
RULES:
1. You must run ENTIRE from the same drive as the current drive. However,
you may run ENTIRE from a PATH directory.
2. You must have DOS 3.0 or higher. ENTIRE will detect this for you.
3. When creating a copy of the original (see template below), you cannot
have the file ENTIRE.EXE in the current directory already.
4. When importing files into ENTIRE, you can only import up to 100 per
copy. The software will detect this for you.
5. When exporting files (always into the CURRENT DIRECTORY), if a file
by the name already exists in the DOS directory, the file will not
be exported.
6. If you choose the Export option and answer "ALL", if two files by
the same name are exported, only the first will be exported, as
per the last rule above.
7. You cannot import an .exe, .com, .bat, file, or any file named
image.dat, or image.bak. To do so, you must rename the file first.
8. You may rename the ENTIRE .exe file at any time. However, it is
your responsibility to manage these names.
9. It is not recommended that you compress an ENTIRE.EXE application
using PKLITE.
