  1. Installing DOCZ from (1) distribution media, or (2) installing from
  2. a ZIP archive from a BBS or CD.
  3.  
  4. (1)   If you are installing from distribution media from Software Toolz,
  5.  
  6.    If the distribution media is found to be defective,  please do not
  7.    hesitate to call or write Software Toolz for another copy. 
  8.  
  9.    Run the INSTALL program on the distribution media with the drive
  10.    containing the distribution media as the default device.  INSTALL
  11.    features extensive help messages that will guide you through the
  12.    installation. 
  13.  
  14.    INSTALL will optionally edit your AUTOEXEC.BAT to declare the
  15.    environment variables that DOCZ needs, or you can use the
  16.    DOCZ_SYM.BAT command file deposited in the executable directory
  17.    during the installation.  INSTALL will build a sample documentation
  18.    library containing six modules for a C function library, if you
  19.    select that option during the installation.

  21. (2)   If you are installing from a ZIP file obtained from a BBS or CD,
  22.  
  23.    To install and unpack DOCZ, run the INSTALL command with all files in
  24.    the root directory.  The INSTALL program will place the files for
  25.    DOCZ anywhere on your system that you specify, but INSTALL does
  26.    require that its source files reside on a different disk, in the root
  27.    directory, than the disk specified for destination files.  This is an
  28.    inherent limitation of the INSTALL program (not authored by Software
  29.    Toolz).  You may wish to unpack the ZIP archive to floppy for this
  30.    reason.
