  3. CUT&PASTE version 0.50 has a major change in the naming conventions
  4. of CUT files.  The following example will allow you to determine if
  5. the CUT files are from version 0.01.
  6.  
  7. Original file : PROGRAM.EXE
  8.  
  9. Cut into 5 chunks:
  10. PROG1.CUT
  11. PROG2.CUT
  12. PROG3.CUT
  13. PROG4.CUT
  14. PROG5.CUT
  15. PROG.CTL  > PASTE control file.
  16.  
  17. The above example is from version 0.01.  CUTCONV.EXE will do the following:

  19. PROG1.CUT >> PROG-0.CUT
  20. PROG2.CUT >> PROG-1.CUT
  21. PROG3.CUT >> PROG-2.CUT
  22. PROG4.CUT >> PROG-3.CUT
  23. PROG5.CUT >> PROG-4.CUT
  24. PROG.CTL remains the same.

  26. The format for CUTCONV.EXE in the above example is:
  27. CUTCONV.EXE PROG

  29. This is basically the same format for PASTE.EXE.
