  3.  ■   Made a slight modification to the display of the rules to the potential
  4.      applicant.  Actually it now follows a certian order.

  9.  ■   In all information packets starting 03/01/94 there will be
  10.      some duplicate looking files; however, these are NOT duplicate
  11.      file, one set is a normal set -- no colors, the other has
  12.      PCBoard @X color codes for display purposes.

  14.      Thus, you must have the CAP_9403.ZIP file and later to use
  15.      this version of CAPLINK.PPE.
  16.  
  17.  ■   Added several new command to the program.  You now have two
  18.      ways to active the CAPLink program.  The first way is to
  19.      simply type CAPLINK at the main command prompt.  This will
  20.      bring up a menu for you to select from.
  21.  
  22.      The second way is to add command line parameters to the word
  23.      CAPLINK.  Format:   CAPLINK <parameter>.
  24.  
  25.                RULES -   This will bring the rules for CAPLink up
  26.                          onto the screen.
  27.  
  28.                NODES -   This will bring the nodelist up onto the
  29.                          screen.
  30.  
  31.                APPLY -   Will bring the application screen up.
  32.  
  33.                PACKET -  This will allow you to download the
  34.                          latest CAPLink information packet.

  37.  ■   Corrected a few display errors.

  42.  ■   Correct an error in the CAPLINK.MNU file.

  44.  ■   Added two modems to the MODEM.DSP file, and modified the
  45.      program to accept these two new modems.  The two modems are
  46.      USR v.32terbo and Hayes 28.8 V.FC.

  48. 02/12/94 - CAPLINK PPE
  49. ======================

  51.  ■   Several changes have been made to the CAPLink PPE program.
  52.      The first change is the name of the archive.  The official
  53.      name of the archive is CAPLNKxx.ZIP.  The xx represents the
  54.      version number(s).

  56.  ■   Next, I have take and made all programs, the node list, rule
  57.      display, and the application program into one program.  Here
  58.      is how it works.
  59.  
  60.           CAPLINK APPLY  -    This command will bring the
  61.                               application program up onto the
  62.                               screen.
  63.  
  64.           CAPLINK NODES  -    This command will bring the current
  65.                               listing of systems that are
  66.                               associated with CAPLink on the
  67.                               screen and then take the user back
  68.                               to the main menu of the CAPLink
  69.                               program.

  71.           CAPLINK RULES  -    This command will bring the rules
  72.                               for the next up onto the screen.
  73.                               Once they have completed reading the
  74.                               rules it will take them to the
  75.                               CAPLink menu.

  78.   ■  Also for this release I still have not finished the
  79.      documentation for the program.  I should have that completed
  80.      within the next couple of weeks.  Most likely when I get back
  81.      from Berlin.  If you have any problems, please leave me a note
  82.      and we will get it straightened out.

  85.   ■  Something else that I should bring up.  The format for the
  86.      configuration file.

  88.      Line 1:   This is the name of your system.
  89.  
  90.      Line 2:   This is a serial number.  (NOT USED RIGHT NOW)

  92.      Line 3:   The location of the CL-APPLY conference.  This is
  93.                where all application are placed in.

  95.      Line 4:   The location to where PKZIP can be found.  You must
  96.                have PKZIP on your system for this program to work.
  97.                The CAPLINK.PPE shells out to DOS and calls PKZIP
  98.                to extract the information that is displayed to the
  99.                user.

  105.  ■   Modified the routine that will unpack the archive.  The first
  106.      release the archive was not check for dates that had a zero in
  107.      front of them.  The release just before this one the was
  108.      *going* to be a problem with dates that had no zero in front
  109.      of them.  All problems should be now corrected.
