  2. Installation Parameters
  3.  Install From Drive: You're probably installing from drive A or B.
  4.  Install From Directory: You're probably installing from \.
  5.  Install To Drive: You must install to a hard drive - probably C or D.
  6.  Base Directory: The main directory for the program is probably \CAPGNZ.
  7. Specify the directory of your current version, if any.
  8.  Install Program Files: The main Capital Gainz program, along with
  9. internal program data and some auxilliary BAT files. (REQUIRED)
  10.  Install Doc Files: If you have a printed manual, you can save disk space
  11. by not installing the online documentation. These files are installed
  12. in the DOC subdirectory under the Base Directory. (OPTIONAL)
  13.  Install Demo/Tutorial: The best way to get aquainted with the software is
  14. to run this screenshow. These files are installed in the DEMO
  15. subdirectory under the Base Directory. (OPTIONAL)
  16.  Install Example Data: This lets you familiarize yourself with the program.
  17. You can't install the examples if data already exists. (OPTIONAL)

  21.  Install Utility Files: The Utility Program is not included with the
  22. evaluation version. It's required if you are upgrading. (OPTIONAL)
  23.  Install Graphics Files: The Graphics Program is purchased in addition to
  24. the main Capital Gainz program. (OPTIONAL)
  25.  Install Download Files: The Download Program is purchased in addition to
  26. the main Capital Gainz Program. (OPTIONAL)
  27.  Registration Number: the registration number on the disk label.
  28.  Your Name: your name, or whatever you want displayed on the opening screen.  
  29.  Modify CONFIG.SYS: Makes sure that FILES= at least 40 in CONFIG.SYS.
  30.  Copy CG.BAT to Root: Copy the startup batch file to the root directory.
  31.  Temporary Drive & Dir: Used for temporary files - ideal for a RAM drive.
  32.  Use Built-In Screen Blanker: Specify NO if you already use a screen blanker. 
  33.  Enhanced Keyboard: Enhanced keyboards have F11 and F12 keys.
  34.  Add to Program Manager: Creates a Capital Gainz Program Group and PIF file.  
  35.  Current Installed Version: If you are upgrading from a prior version, you
  36. must enter the old version number so the data can be upgraded.

  39.  You can always go back and install only specific parts of Capital Gainz at
  40.  a later time. For instance:
  41. - If you didn't install the online documentation, you may want to add it.  
  42. - If you forgot your password, reset it by installing the Program Files.
  43. - If you purchased the Graphics or Download Programs, install them.
  44.  When you complete the form, installation begins:
  45. - INSTALL.INF, on the installation disk, is examined.
  46. - The requested files are installed.
  47. - Current data files are upgraded if necessary.
  48. - Installation is verified, and messages are written to INSTALL.LOG.
  49.  INSTALL.LOG contains important information about files that were installed,  
  50.  renamed, or missing. Make sure that installation was successful.
  51.  If installation failed, you can try it again. If you were upgrading to a
  52.  new version, I suggest restoring your old files first.
  53.  If you see the error "Can't execute CGINST.BAT", then you probably booted
  54.  from diskette, so the DOS command processor can't be found. After exiting
  55.  from the INSTALL program, try running CGINST.BAT from the command line.
