@X0F Prompt File Information and Configuration Guidelines
@X0A Be aware that this is a BETA copy of the reader and that not all of
internal protocols have been implemented (or external for that matter).
Currently, only the Zmodem Internal protocol has been implemented. Before
the final release, internal Ymodem should be implemented and any external
protocol that you desire (including HS/Link). For reliability reasons, we
suggest that you use Zmodem.
@X0C Sometimes Sysops will change the default prompts. If your Sysop has done
this you will need to Modify the Prompts in the Dail BBS Menu (ALT-P).
The best way to see what prompts the sysop has available is to manually
dial in and capture the various prompts.
@X0B PCBoard
@X0E Be sure that you have set your protocol letter to Zmodem (At least
for the time being) in the Mail Door that you will be using.
Make sure you know the name of the door or the door # that you will
be using.
If your Sysop is using PCBoard 15.0 and has enabled Password verification,
you will need to include 4 different passwords in the Configuration Screen
in Camster. This is so that when PCBoard asks Camster for a new Passowrd,
it will give the next password as defined. If you aren't sure if your
Sysop has enabled this, then you can either ask him/her, or just fill out
the appropriate information to be safe (in case they change their mind).
@X0B WildCat
@X0E Be sure that you have set your protocol letter to Zmodem (At least
for the time being) in the Mail Door that you will be using.
Know the location of the TomCat Mail door (@X0FM@X0Eain Menu, @X0FF@X0Eile Menu, or
m@X0FE@X0Essage Menu). Also, know the command to access the Door. It
varies for Sysops. Usually, it's a one letter command.
BE POSITIVE that the below settings are correct:
[ 3] Phone Number : Should match Camster
[ 4] Birth Date : Should match Camster
[ 8] Hot Keys : NO
[14] Default Protocol : ZMODEM
WildCat also provides 3 different methods for logging in. They are as
follows:
UserName - What happens is you are displayed all of the various
screens that the sysop has available upon logging in.
*UserName - What happens is you go directly to the Main Menu.
!UserName - What happens is you go directly to the TomCat Mail Menu.
Be aware that this one is an option that can be configured
by your sysop. If your Sysop hasn't given you access to
this, you might ask him/her to let you use this for faster
access into the mail door. Usually, this is only
available to NetSysops of other BBS's or Subscribers to
their BBS.
You may want to edit the PROMPT file and make sure you have it set
correctly. The default is *@UNAME. However, if your Sysop is using
an older version of WildCat, it may not be available and using the
UNAME is the one you should be using. Ask your Sysop for more details.
@X0B TriBBS & TriMail Door
@X0E Be sure that you have set your protocol letter to Zmodem (At least
for the time being) in the Mail Door that you will be using.
This prompt file was written knowning that as soon as the user logs into
the BBS, they will automatically be in the TriMail Door. If the Tri-BBS
you are using doesn't do this, use the @X0FOther Mail Door Menu/Command@X0E
options to log into the mail door properly.
Also, if you're having problems, enable the VERBOSE log setting and see
if you can spot where the problem is. If not, upload the CAMSTER.LOG file
and we can fix any problems you're having.
