LICENSE
CAL-EVA is not and has never been public domain
software, nor is it free software.
Non-licensed users are granted a limited license to use
CAL-EVA on a 31-day trial basis for the purpose of
determining whether CAL-EVA is suitable for their
needs. The use of CAL-EVA, except for the initial
31-day trial, requires registration. The use of
unlicensed copies of CAL-EVA by any person,
business, corporation, government agency or any other
entity is strictly prohibited. A single user license
permits a user to use CAL-EVA only on a single
computer. Licensed users may use the program on
different computers, but may not use the program on more
than one computer at the same time.
No one may modify or patch the CAL-EVA executable
files in any way, including but not limited to
decompiling, disassembling, or otherwise reverse
engineering the program.
A limited license is granted to copy and distribute
CAL-EVA only for the trial use of customers, subject to
the above limitations, and also the following:
1. CAL-EVA shareware Files are compressed and archived as
one executable file. This executable file is named
CALSyy. Where yy = most recent shareware version number.
This is the only file that should be copied and distributed.
The registered program must not be distributed.
2. CAL-EVA may not be distributed in conjunction with any
other product without a specific license to do so from
Arnold Britton.
3. No fee, charge, or other compensation may be requested
or accepted, except as authorized below:
Operators of electronic bulletin board systems
(sysops) may make CAL-EVA available for
downloading only as long as the above conditions
are met. An overall or time-dependent charge for
the use of the bulletin board system is permitted
as long as there is not a specific charge for the
download of CAL-EVA.

1. Introduction

CALendar of EVents and Appointments at a glance. Amazingly simple to use
An indispensable tool to assist you in tracking past, current and future
events and appointments. Free form - Type in any information you like,
Print a copy. Save your old files they may give the facts you need to
make important decisions later.
CAL-EVA will automate the following for you:
o Display a monthly calendar with the day(s) highlighted if one or
more events are scheduled during 1980 thru 2066.
o Search the database for an event based on text you know to be
in the record if found then displays it.
o Assist you in remembering those special Holidays, Anniversaries,
Birthdays, etc..

3. System requirement.
Program Requirements
____________________
o Computer: IBM PC, AT, or PS/2 computer or any 100% IBM
compatible clone (286 or better).
o Operating System: MS-DOS version 3.3 or above.
o Memory: At least 500KB of available RAM is required.
o Display: CGA, EGA, and VGA displays are supported.
o Disk Drive: Hard disk or Floppy drive with Min 750KB free space.

Database and Display Limitation

CAL-EVA Will allow up to 5,000 records per database and
a display of up to 500 events per months.

6. Main Menu.
6.1 Calendar.
Display a calendar of the month. You may change the day, month or year
displayed. There is on-line help. You may process and event for the date
selected by re-scheduling, changing, scrolling to next or previous, printing or
deleting the event. Search the database for an event based on text you know to
be in the record if found then displays. You may set the calendar month
displayed to this date then process the event. Print it or find the next
occurrence.
6.1.1 Blinking date
Current Location of the cursor. The function keys (F1-F10) will perform an
operation using this date.
6.1.2 Highlighted date
At least one event has been scheduled on the highlighted date. You may press
F2 to process this date or F6 to add and event or add another event on this
date.

6.1.3 Arrow Keys=Day
The Arrow keys will highlight the day within the Month displayed to Process or
Add a event.
6.1.4 *PgUp/Pg/Dn=Month
Page up or Page down will change the Month January Thru December for the Year
displayed.
6.1.5 + -=Year
Plus or Minus will change the Year from 1980 thru 2066 for the Month displayed.
6.1.6 F2=Process
Access additional options for the previously added event that is highlighted.
Note: There must be at least one existing event on the the day you would like
to process.
6.1.7 F3=Quit
You have finished so Return to operating system.
6.1.8 F4=Find
Allow you to search for text within an event using 2 to 8 letters to find it.
6.1.9 F6=Add
Add an Event to this day within the Month within the year displayed. The event
may be for one time or yearly. Maximum Events you may Add per Database Est.
5000 Maximum Event that will be displayed per Month Est. 500 The event will be
highlighted.
* You may also click the Mouse on the four arrows on the calendar as
illustrated below to change the Month and Year.

Client File: The name you would like to call the event File for this year.
Suggest changing the file name each year to day, month and year. i.e.
01Jan94, 15Mar94. or the end of the physical year for year-end-reporting.
Motto: This is your company motto that will appear on the menu.
Note: Comment about this setup. Will not appear on the menu.
ESC/F3=Finish/Save Automatically: After you have made your changes The database
will be automatically updated.
F9=Change colors: Customize your display menu colors.
F9=Change frame: Customize your display menu Frames.
6.4 About CAL-EVA.
