  6. THE SHAREWARE CONCEPT

  8.   Shareware is licensed commercial software which the authors make available
  9.   on a try-before-you-buy basis.  Users may evaluate a Shareware product for a
  10.   period usually between 30 and 90 days, by the end of which they must either
  11.   pay for the product (known as Registration) or stop using it.
  12.  
  13.   Copying of Shareware, subject to the above conditions, is not only allowed,
  14.   it is encouraged.  Pass copies on to interested friends and colleagues.
  15.   Shareware authors rely on the integrity of users to abide by the conditions
  16.   of the license, and register the product if they want to continue using it.
  17.   Many, like ARK ANGLES and SWORDSOFT, also give added benefits to users who
  18.   register.

  21. ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

  23.   This program is Shareware, and may be freely copied and distributed subject
  24.   to the terms described in the VENDOR.TXT file.  The program may be tried out
  25.   for up to 60 days without charge, after which time users should register it
  26.   or cease to use it.

  28.   Note that Shareware does not mean Freeware or Public Domain.  This program
  29.   is licensed software, and copying or using it without paying for it, except
  30.   as provided above, is a breach of copyright.

  33. WHY REGISTER?
  34.  
  35.   As stated, the license for this product entitles you to try it out for up to
  36.   60 days.  Use of the unregistered product beyond that period is a breach of
  37.   copyright and is against the law.  But apart from the legal obligation,
  38.   there are many benefits to be gained from registering.  You will receive:

  40.    o  a copy of the latest version of the program, plus
  41.    o  60 more exciting and challenging levels, plus
  42.    o  a utility to create your own levels, plus
  43.    o  a printed manual with details of "hidden" and "cheat" features, plus
  44.    o  a bonus game, plus
  45.    o  12 months support, plus
  46.    o  periodic news and upgrade information, plus
  47.    o  the satisfaction of supporting value software through Shareware.

  50. PRICING

  52.   Single Registration is A$20 or US$18, shipped anywhere in the world.
  53.   This gives a license for use of the program by one user or on one machine,
  54.   and entitles you to all the benefits listed above.  Special licensing
  55.   arrangements are available for schools or businesses or anywhere there are
  56.   multiple machines or users at the one site.

  58.   Significant updates are released regularly, and unregistered copies of the
  59.   latest version are available from ARK ANGLES for just a shipping charge
  60.   of $5 each, or from many good Shareware vendors.

  65. HOW TO REGISTER
  66.  
  67.   Nothing is simpler.  We accept cash (of course), cheques (but may wait for
  68.   them to clear if they are large amounts), credit cards (Bankcard, Visa or
  69.   Mastercard only), bank drafts or Postal/Money Orders.  Credit cards will
  70.   always be billed by us in $A so you get the latest and best exchange rate.
  71.   Although we prefer any cash or cheques or drafts etc to be in $A or $US, we
  72.   will accept them in any major currency - please calculate the equivalent
  73.   amount in your own currency from the published $US price.

  75.   There are four easy ways to register:

  77.   1. PHONE:  Get your credit card ready, and the details of your equipment as
  78.      listed in the ORDERFRM.TXT file.  Then call (047)588100 for Australian
  79.      customers or Intl+61-47-588100 for overseas customers, and leave your
  80.      ordering information with the operator or answering machine.

  82.   2. FAX:  If you have a fax card on your computer, then simply edit the file
  83.      ORDERFRM.TXT with all the necessary information, otherwise print it and
  84.      fill it in manually.  Make sure all your credit card info is there,
  85.      then fax it to (047)588638 for Australian customers or Intl+61-47-588638
  86.      for overseas customers.

  88.   3. POST:  Print ORDERFRM.TXT and fill it in, make sure your credit card info
  89.      is there, or include a cheque, draft or money order, and post the lot to
  90.      ARK ANGLES at 24 Alexander Ave, Hazelbrook NSW 2779, Australia.

  92.   4. COMPUSERVE:  Insert ORDERFRM.TXT into a note, fill it in with your credit
  93.      card information, and send it to CompuServe Id 100237,141.

  107.   Support is given to unregistered users during the 60 day trial period, and
  108.   to registered users for 12 months.  This includes direct access to the
  109.   author and/or distributor by mail, phone and fax, plus notification of any
  110.   fixes and new releases.

  112.   Feedback about all our programs is always appreciated.  The first registered
  113.   user to suggest a new function or other improvement will, if the suggestion
  114.   is adopted, receive a free upgrade to the first version that includes that
  115.   function, in addition to any other upgrades they are entitled to.

  117.   Customised versions of our programs can be made to order for specific
  118.   purposes or customers, or whole new applications can be developed as

  148.   workmanship, and that the program works largely in accordance with its
  149.   documentation.  This warranty is effective for three months from date of
  150.   registration, and is not transferrable.

  152.   No liability is accepted for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused by
  153.   the use of this product.  No warranty is made that it is suitable for any
  154.   particular person or purpose.  If this product is useful to you then please
  155.   register it, otherwise don't use it and don't pay for it.

  157.   In any event, the liability of ARK ANGLES and/or the author is restricted
  158.   to either a refund of the registration paid, a replacement of the physical
  159.   disks and/or printed matter, or the provision of an upgrade to the latest
