  2. To run WORD FOR WORD from diskette:
  3.     WORD FOR WORD runs under DOS, not under Windows.  If
  4. you are in Windows, exit to DOS.
  5.     Place the distribution diskette in drive A.  From the
  6. DOS c:> prompt, type a:WRD4WRD .  The program will load from
  7. the diskette and begin running.  The program will have
  8. several questions for you when it starts.  Most but not all
  9. of these are self-explanatory.  The first time you start the
  10. program, answer "no" when asked if you want timed moves; you
  11. don't need the timer to interrupt your thoughts when you're
  12. learning the game.  Also, the first time you start it,
  13. choose the three-letter game for learning.  When the initial
  14. questions have been answered, the game board will come up. 
  15. There is no tutorial, so you will have to read the rules.

  17. Installing WORD FOR WORD on your hard disk:
  18.     To install WORD FOR WORD on your hard disk, simply copy
  19. all the contents of the distribution diskette into any
  20. subdirectory of your choice.  Please note that the game will
  21. only run if the word lists (the files called "WORDS.3LE",
  22. "WORDS.4LE", and "WORDS.5LE") are in the same directory as
  23. "WRD4WRD.EXE".
  24.     To run WORD FOR WORD from your hard disk, simply make
  25. the subdirectory containing the game file and the word list
  26. files the current directory, then type "WRD4WRD".  (Again,
  27. if you are in Windows, exit to DOS first.)
