  6. To install this Windows(tm) program on your computer:
  7.  
  8.    1. Start Windows.
  9.  
  10.    2. Insert Disk 1 in either Drive A: or Drive B:.
  11.  
  12.    3. Select File>>Run from the Program Manager main menu.  Type A:SETUP
  13.       or B:SETUP, depending on which drive contains the installation
  14.       diskette, then select <OK>.
  15.  
  16.       As an alternative, you may open the File Manager, select the drive
  17.       containing Disk 1 and launch the file SETUP.EXE by double-clicking
  18.       on the file name.

  20.    4. Follow the Setup instructions on the screen.  Answer each question,
  21.       then click the <Continue> button.

  23. Program requirements:  80386 or greater, 2MB memory minimum (4MB or more
  24. recommended), 2.4MB available hard disk space; DOS 3.1 or greater,
  25. Windows(tm) 3.1 (or greater) running in Enhanced Mode.  640x480 standard
  26. VGA recommended.

  29. The DOS program SHARE.EXE must be loaded before using this program, even on
  30. single-user systems.  SHARE is needed to prevent simultaneous access to the
  31. primary database subsystem by an inadvertent launching of another instance
  32. of this program.  With the multitasking capabilities of Windows(tm) 3.1+
  33. operating in Enhanced Mode, it is *possible* that a user could at some
  34. point during a Windows session attempt to launch a second instance of this
  35. program.  The user's data residing in this program's database subsystem
  36. would become irreparably corrupted.  SHARE is designed to prevent such an
  37. occurence.  This program's SETUP will check for the presence of SHARE.EXE
  38. on the user's system; if not found, it will prompt the user for permission
  39. to automatically add it to the autoexec.bat file.  SETUP will also install
  40. a Microsoft-authorized copy of a late version of SHARE.EXE if it is found
  41. to be needed.  If the user is using the Windows for Workgroups(tm) system,
  42. SHARE.EXE is not needed as Windows for Workgroups will already be using its
  43. own VSHARE.386 device driver to control access to shared data.
