Unzip VIEWLOGS.ZIP into your SpitFire <WORK> Directory.
Run "ViewLogs /SETUP" (without the double quotes) to
setup the VIEWLOGS.CFG file. Type "Viewlogs" (without
the double quotes) at the DOS Prompt. That's all there
is to it. Simple Eh!
For those who run FrontDoor, it can be called from a
Function Key on a drop to Errorlevel Command.
Example FD1.BAT:
AT ERRORLEVEL 5 GOTO VIEWLOGS
:VIEWLOGS
@ECHO Viewing Log Files
CD\SF\WORK
VIEWLOGS
CD\FD
GOTO LOOP
Then simply set your F_Key in the FrontDoor Setup to drop at
Errorlevel 5 and it will pull up the logs, the same way you
see them if you log into SpitFire as the SysOp and use the
<V>iew Logs Option from the SysOp Menu...or the same way
the F-1 Key works when SpitFire is at the "Waiting For Caller"
Prompt. Be sure to choose an unused Errorlevel when setting
up your Function Key Definition. That's all there is to it.
This is a really nice little Freeware Utility written by
Justin King, Sysop of Kings Corner BBS (713) 550-2661.
Simple but very effective, and a great help for those of
us who are running FrontDoor. No longer is it necessary
for the SysOp to log into SpitFire to be able to View his
CALLERS.LOG, HEYSYSOP.LOG, or SFNEWU.REP Files. Simply
touch a Function Key and your're there. Returns control
to FrontDoor when you are finished.
If you use this utility and find it useful, drop Justin King a
note at CircuitNET Node #713018 or call his BBS and leave him
a note telling him so. Let's keep him encouraged to continue
writing such fine SpitFire Utilities for all SpitFire SysOps.
DISCLAMER:
Before I forget...this program is not in any way guarenteed to
work, or not to screw up your data. Of course if you find any
bugs, I would appreciate a quick report of them, but if it
accidently formats your hard drive, hey...it's not my fault.
I Justin King declare myself not responsible for any loss of
data or information on your hard drive. In other words...
*USE AT YOUR OWN RISK* But enjoy, nevertheless! :)
AUTHOR NOTE:
I sincerely hope you enjoy my programs as much as I do writing
them. Enjoy!
