  13. Did you ever have a question about your computer or some software, and
  14. you just didn't know where to go to find the answer?  Well, in this
  15. column I'll be attempting to clear up any questions (big or small) that
  16. any of you may have.  I'm not claiming to be an expert by any means, but
  17. I am resourceful and I'll do whatever necessary to find an appropriate
  18. answer for any questions relating to computers, software, or general
  19. BBSing.

  22.         Here it is, my first official ANSWER ME! column.  I had
  23.         tons of question just flooding in.  Well, a couple anyway,
  24.         and good enough to kick off my STTS debut. At least I
  25.         didn't have to waste any time deciding which ones to use.

  29.         I'm a closet computer geek.  I LOVE spending hours upon
  30.         hours at the keyboard.  It's my thing, my gig, my hobby,
  31.         what I live for!

  33.         Problem is, my girlfriend is jealous of my relationship
  34.         with my computer.  She says it's unnatural, and that she
  35.         should come first in my life.

  37.         Is she nuts or what?  This may not be the kind of question
  38.         you were expecting to address, but ANSWER ME! anyway.

  46.         You're absolutely right.  This ISN'T the kind of question
  47.         I was expecting, but needs must as the devil drives, and
  48.         I had to have SOMETHING to write about.

  50.         I was execting an EASY question, like "Would you please explain
  51.         the basic principle of binary code?", and instead I have to
  52.         deal with complexities of human relationships?  Ugh.

  54.         I've been on both sides this type of issue, and while I'm
  55.         not near as possessed with techie stuff as you are, I
  56.         do know how involved and time consuming it can be.
  57.  
  58.         First, I have to wonder how you two ever got together to
  59.         begin with.  But since you did, and you obviously care
  60.         enough about her to question her sanity, I'd say a compromise
  61.         would be in order.  People are more important than things,
  62.         aren't they?  Well, aren't they?  No matter what you say,
  63.         they really are!  Honest!

  65.         And while I generally don't trust, or relate to people
  66.         who aren't interested in computers, I'd have to say that
  67.         most probably the answer to your question is no.
