About Fill Requests
--------------------
Fill Requests is the maintenance program needed to fill, edit and do
other things with the requests made in Sf-Request.
Running Fill Requests
----------------------
Fill Request must be run from the home directory of Sf-Request.
Just type Fillreqs. There are no command line options.
Fill Requests does not have file sharing and locking yet.
*** You shouldn't use it if there is anyone using Sf-Request. ***
How To Use Fill Requests
-------------------------
You just type Fillreqs from the Sf-Request dir.
There are 4 options available from the main menu. Each is described below.
Option [A] - This will add a logo or do anything to any file with a
matching extension as listed in the Sfreq.cfg file with
the keyword FileExt. Read the sample Sfreq.cfg file included
for an example.
Option [E] - This will allow you to edit the requests. It will show a
listing of all requests with a tag letter next to each.
To edit a request, just type the tag letter and you will
see the request edit menu. The options for this menu are:
[F]- Toggles if the request has been filled.
[R]- Removes the request. Once removed, it's gone.
[D]- Changes the Disc number of the request.
[A]- Changes the Area number of the request.
[Q]- Quits the edit menu.
Option [F] - This will fill the requests. It will prompt you which disc
to place in the drive and copy any requested files from it
to the filled request dir listed in Sfreq.cfg. If the file
already exists in the filled request dir, it will not be
copied. It will also check disc space and stop if there
isn't enough to copy the file. If you have placed a message
conference # in the Sfreq.cfg, when you fill a request, you
will see a menu asking if you would like to leave a message.
Leaving messages is only available in the registered version.
Option [C] - This will clean the data files used by Sf-Request.
** Do Not run this if someone is using Sf-Request! **
It will make a new Request.dat file cleaning the filled ones
and if someone is using the door, who knows what will happen.
It also cleans the other data files and will display a short
message about what its doing.
The only other option is Alt+D which is a DOS shell.
Fill Requests needs to have its own directory to place the files it
copies. You shouldn't have any files in this directory except the ones
copied by Fill Request. This is because it will erase files here that
haven't been requested unless you have KeepForDL turned On in the
Sfreq.cfg file.
If you have any suggestions, comments, or problems with SF-Request or
Fill Request, you can leave me a message in any of the Circuitnet confs
or the Fidonet Spitfire conference. Or you call my BBS listed below.
