  1. RECONCILE INSTALLATION

  4. System requirements
  5. -------------------
  6.  
  7. Reconcile requires Microsoft Windows, version 3.0 or higher, 
  8. with at least 256 Kb of free memory (its need for memory depends 
  9. on the number of files and sub-directories being checked). 
  10. Though it works best if you have a colour adapter (VGA or higher), 
  11. it will operate satisfactorily in monochrome.

  14. Installation
  15. ------------

  17. To install Reconcile, you must use the setup program æqInstall' 
  18. supplied on the disk. It will decompress and copy the program files. 
  19. It will also set up Reconcile in Program Manager and create an 
  20. association for the script files in File Manager if you want it to.

  22. Please follow these steps:
  23.  
  24. * Start your computer and run Windows.
  25.  
  26. * UnZip your Reconcile files into a temporary directory, say C:\TEMP.
  27.  
  28. * In Program Manager, select 'File | Run' from the menu and type 
  29.   'C:\TEMP\QINSTALL.EXE'.
  30.  
  31. * Alternatively, select the temporary directory in File Manager and 
  32.   double-click on the file 'QINSTALL.EXE'.
  33.  
  34. * Follow the installation instructions displayed by qInstall.
  35.  
  36. * If you have difficulty, please refer to your Windows documentation.
