Using AreaFix To Request Conferences
====================================
In order to join TradeNet Echoes, you must first configure your system to
receive these echoes, and you must tell your Hub that you wish to receive
these echoes. All of the TradeNet Hubs are running what is known as
'AreaFix'. AreaFix allows you to automatically configure your HUB's system
to send you your New Echoes. To Add/Remove Echoes from the list of Echoes
that your System Receives, do the following:
1) Send a Private, NETMAIL message to 'AREAFIX' on your HUB's system.
2) Your hub should have provided you with an "AreaFix Password" when he/she
set up your connect. Put your AreaFix Password on the Subject line of
the Netmail Message
3) The body of the message is simply a list of the subs you want added, or
subs that you want deleted, with a "-" before them. For Example:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
To: areafix
Address: 48:416/0
Flags: Pvt, Netmail
Subject: SAMPLE
────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-TN_CAR
TN_LIVIN
%LIST Or LIST
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Would DISCONNECT you from the Cars Message Base (TN-CAR)
2. Would add LivingRooms Message Base (TN-LIVIN)
3. Would List All Areas You Are Connected With On TradeNet
Many systems also support a command "%HELP" which will send you a help
file, listing other commands that you may use with that HUB's AreaFix
Program. If you have any questions, please Email your HUB for specific
information.
NOTE: If your system goes down for an extended period of time, your system
may become DISCONNECTED from all Echoes. If this occurs, simply
send a Netmail message to AREAFIX, and Re-Connect your Echoes
