Surreal Utility Set
===================
These three Utilities are bundled together to provide a "uniform" look to
the functions they perform. Included is a Oneliners PPE, a Last few Callers
Bulletin Maker, and a Next Caller Message PPE. Each of these is in their
UNREGISTERED mode. The only way to deactivate the Unregistered reminders is
to register. When Registered Separately these utilities are $15.00, but if
you register all at the same time, you can receive $2.50 off, and register for
only $12.00. Also, when you register you are registered for all future
releases, and support.
(Note: All paths are changable)
Disclaimer
===========
I Am not responsible for anything. I Do my best to prevent bugs, and etc,
but I can not possibly take into account all system configurations, and such.
I doubt anything will go wrong, and will help anyone who has bug reports, or
ideas, but I can make no promises...
SL-1L.PPE
==============
This is very straight forward... I recommend installing this in your News
file. Like this:
D:\PCB1\GEN\NEWS
==========
!D:\PCB1\PPE\SL-1L.PPE
Newsfile text....
Also included in the SL-1L package is a History file (SL-1L.HIS), a Header
(.HDR), and a Help file (HLP).
It requires no other command line options, but it does require a Configuration
file. A sample is included with specifc instructions.
With the Oneliners you can customize colors, the header file, the number of
oneliners, the minimum security level to add a oneliner, whether or not you
wish to see a Last Few Callers Screen, the number of Callers to display, and
whether you want to see a @WHO@ displayed. All of these options can be
altered via the Config file.
The Config file must be named SL-1L.CNF and be placed in the same path as
SL-1L.PPE. It keeps 3 running logs, SL-1L.DAT (the oneliners data file),
SL-1L.LFC (the last few callers list), SL-1L.TMP (a data file that stops
double logging of callers).
SL-LFC.PPE
==========
This file will keep a continuous tally of all the users who call, their
caller number, their city, their node, and their carrier speed. This needs
to be added via your PCBTEXT entry #166 (Thanks for calling, @FIRST@, as:
!D:\PCB1\PPE\SL-LFC.PPE
If you run a multi-PCBTEXT bbs, (Multi-Language) then change this for each.
I will create a specific language file if requested.
The Config File must be named SL-LFC.CNF. It only has one option, the name
of the list to update. The config file must be in the same path as the PPE.
SL-NC.PPE / LC.PPE
==================
This PPE allows you to let callers leave a message to the next caller. It
can be of any length (up to 50 lines). To Install you must have the
SL-NC.PPE file in your LOGOFF file like:
!D:\PCB1\PPE\SL-NC.PPE
and the LC.PPE file somewhere that people have to read (like in your news)
like:
!D:\PCB1\PPE\LC.PPE
This file updates a text file after each user.
