In order to run MedTxt, VGA color graphics is required. It will not
run on EGA or CGA because of the utilization of Bit and ANSI
graphics in MedTxt. You must have at least 128k of memory
available.
MedTxt is a shareware electronic professional medical textbook that
has many features, making it very easy to navigate from one part of
the text to another. It incorporates a hypertext reader with
indexed pages so that any page can be accessed swiftly by typing the
page number and then pressing "enter." In order to return to the
previous page just press "enter" and you will be immediatley
returned.
Each screen is considered a page and each page is numbered at the
bottom right of the screen. You have the capability of browsing the
entire document, flipping pages by using the pageup/pagedown keys
and placing bookmarks anywhere within the document. Other features
are global text searching by using the "scan" feature. You can jump
immediately from one medical section, such as Cardiology, to another
section, such as Rheumatology, by using the index tabs at the bottom
of each screen. Backtracking, and automatic position save on
exiting are also supported.
