  22. GO57.ZIP contains five files:
  23.         GO.EXE                  Program
  24.         README                  This file
  25.         GO.DOC                  Documentation for using GO
  26.         GO.HST                  Revision list
  27.         REGISTER                Registration form

  29. This program is distributed as shareware.  This means you have the oppor-
  30. tunity to use and evaluate it before you decide to buy.  If you find that you
  31. use it for other than evaluation purposes, then you are obligated to register
  32. the program.  Registration is $20.00 and entitles you to one free update and
  33. information on further updates as they occur.  Please support the shareware
  34. concept, I've spent a good deal of time developing and enhancing this program
  35. - your support will help me to continue to help you.

  37. Included with this release is a simple registration form covering both single
  38. user and site licenses.
  39.  
  40. This program performs the following seven functions:
  41.  
  42.         - Change file attributes (on single or class of files)
  43.  
  44.         - Read attributes of files and/or directories
  45.  
  46.         - Search for specified files regardless of which hard drive they
  47.           reside on (file extensions are not required if = .*).  System will
  48.           also find files which are hidden.  RAM and network disks are also
  49.           supported.  The program will allow you to switch to the directory of
  50.           the desired file should you so desire.

  52.         - Create new directories and move to them
  53.  
  54.         - Rename directories
  55.  
  56.         - Move files around your hard disk without having to delete them
  57.           afterwards.  Very fast because no actual disk movement occurs.
  58.  
  59.         - Move files between hard disks (eliminates the next step of deleting
  60.           files after the move).
  61.  
  62.         - Remove directories that still contain files and/or sub-directories.
  63.           This function will remove all files and/or sub-directories and them
  64.           remove the main file itself.  It performs the same function as
  65.           UNIXs' rm -r command.

  67. The benefit of this program is that you do not need to remember seven
  68. different program names in order to perform any of these functions.  Using
  69. this program alone will generally save at least 75K when compared to sep-
  70. arate programs performing the same functions.

  72. This program contains any and all information necessary to operate it
  73. efficiently.  Simply type GO and the program will display its complete syntax
  74. and all switches.  For examples, review the GO.DOC file.

  76. We would recommend putting this file into either your root directory or your
  77. /dos (or whatever you call your directory with your dos/operating system
  78. programs) directory and ensure that you have set a path to it.  That way you
  79. can call up the program from anywhere on your system without having to
  80. specify a path.  An example of setting a path is:
  81.  
  82.                         SET PATH = C:\DOS
  83.  
  84. Specifying the drive ensures that you will be able to access this directory
  85. should you have more than one hard drive and not be on the drive containing
  86. the file and directory.  Place you SET PATH command into your autoexec.bat
  87. file thus ensuring proper setting upon system startup.

  89. This program will run on all IBM PC or compatible machines using an 8086,
  90. 80286, 80386, or 80486 processors.  It requires at least a CGA color monitor.
