  1. This is EXAMPLE3.TXT  You will notice that the survey crosses itself.  Think
  2. about what it means to have a survey cross itself as this one does.

  4. FIRST TRACT: BEGINNING at a beech old survey and running with the old lines N
  5. 32 W 15 poles and 9 links to a maple; thence N 46-3/4 W 19-3/4 poles to two
  6. small chestnut oaks on the old line; thence N 19 W 25 poles and 7 links to a
  7. hickory: thence E 37 poles to a hickory and maple; thence S 15 E 11½ poles to a
  8. white oak and maple, corner to the old T.A. survey; thence with the said old
  9. line S 10 E 17 poles and 5 links to an ash on the old line; thence with a new
  10. line S 58½ W 16 poles and 12 links to a dogwood on the bank; thence S 30 W 49
  11. poles and 5 links to the place of beginning.
