Never having been to Hong Kong (heavy sigh), I can't swear to authenticity,
but I did spend a lot of time eating at Yank Sing. There is a very high
turnover. In fact, I believe the only thing they serve is dim sum.
There are a couple of places in Oakland that have similar tastes but more
variety, only problem is that I can picture the location and look of the
restaurants but not the names.
If you happen to drop in to San Diego, we now have a place that serves dim
sum that is every bit as good as I've had in San Francisco or Toronto.
It's called EMERALD on Convoy in the Kearny Mesa area. The oriental food
in SD has always been a disappointment after living in SF. Emerald is a
real treat.
