  2. To install:

  4. You must have VBRUN300.DLL installed in your \WINDOWS  or \WINDOWS\SYSTEM
  5. directory to use Version 3.1 of BBS Dialer.
  6.  
  7. Unzip these file to the directory where you keep your Smartcom communications
  8. documents.
  9.  
  10. If you already have a previous version you will need to move your DIAL_DIR.EXE
  11. and all your *.DIR files to your \SCWIN directory or whereever you SCW.EXE
  12. file is located.
  13.  
  14. If you are using a high-speed modem and NOT using the Hayes ESP board you
  15. will probably need to set the port limit under SETTINGS|SPEED & FORMAT to
  16. 19,200 to avoid data overruns.

  19. To use BBS DIALER 3.1 :
  20.  
  21. The autoexec script will automatically load the dialing directory. To dial,
  22. select an item (or items) and click on DIAL. For additional information, press
  23. CTRL+H or click under HELP.
  24.  
  25. To return to the dialing directory click on the DIALDIR button.
  26.  
  27. If you cancel a dialing que you can restart it by selecting the DIALQUE button.

  29. To view the dialing queue, click on the VIEW button.
  30.  
  31. To return to the setup script, click on the SETUP button.

  33. NOTE: In order for the dialing directory to properly turn command over to
  34. Smartcom do NOT minimize Smartcom if you are going to issue a dial command.
  35. For this same reason, do NOT move the buttons which operate BBS Dialer and do
  36. NOT rename the comm document from the name "bbsdial3.scw".
