  4. Trams are powered either by electric
  5. conductor rails below ground or conductor
  6. arms connected to overhead wires, but their
  7. use on public roads is limited because of
  8. their lack of manoeuvrability. Greater
  9. flexibility can be achieved with the
  10. trolleybus, similarly powered by conductor
  11. arms overhead, but without tracks. In the
  12. 1980s both trams and trolleybuses were being
  13. revived in some areas. Both vehicles have the
  14. advantage of being nonpolluting.
