  1. Tea is an evergreen shrub Camellia sinensis, 
  2. family Theaceae, of which the fermented, 
  3. dried leaves are infused to make a beverage 
  4. of the same name. Known in China as early as 
  5. 2737BC, tea was first brought to Europe AD 
  6. 1610 and rapidly became a fashionable drink. 
  7. In 1823 it was found growing wild in North 
  8. India, and plantations were later established 
  9. in Assam and Sri Lanka. Producers today 
  10. include Africa, South America, Georgia, 
  11. Azerbaijan, Indonesia, and Iran.
