  1. A development of the ice skate, roller skates
  2. have, instead of the blade, a set of small 
  3. wheels (rollers) and are used for skating
  4. on smooth surfaces. A further development are
  5. Roller Blades which, instead of having the
  6. wheels one in each corner, have four slightly
  7. larger wheels in line along the length of 
  8. the skate. The sport of Roller Hockey has
  9. become a very popular pastime, with leagues
  10. forming country-wide.
