  1. HOW TO INSTALL JUMPGUY ENHANCED:

  3. Requires Windows 3.1
  4. Video card capable of displaying 640x480 256 color graphics.
  5. Windows-compatible sound card.
  6.  
  7. Unzip JUMPE.ZIP to a working directory.
  8. From the Program manager in Windows, run SETUP.EXE from whatever directory
  9.  you unZIPPED to.
  10. The setup program will setup a directory and icon.  Double-click the icon
  11.  to play.
  12. Be sure to press F1 for instructions, or F8 for the program menu.

  14. DISCUSSION FOR OTHER KNP DESIGNERS:

  16.  Jumpguy is the latest version of the first game I created with KNP.  As
  17. such, a lot of the routines are gross, but they work.  Especially gross is
  18. the "killer bullet" routine--it's a total kludge, and I've already come up
  19. with a much more elegant routine for use in my next Jumpguy platformer.
  20. Don't use this game as an example for your own programming...it's fun, but
  21. I was learning the system as I wrote it.
